Tarbuck Richard Starr and Gambacini were not found not guilty as they never went to court. In short they had no case to answer.

for those 'alleged', 'formerly alleged', and totally 'not guilty' should we not add Jim Davidson to the list?

I really think this thread is setting a bad precedent, especially seeing as some of these names were proven innocent or weren't even formally charged in the end.

Deadpooling is a game of predicting death, not celebrating it. We're not the Westboro Baptist Church.

The poll is down. Now only if the thread is locked...

Despite my username being in the thread title, I can assure you that I am not, and have never been, involved in Operation Yewtree in any way.

Just an FYI. ;)

There's a lot of detail, a bit of detective work should pay off.

Quite amusing how they've got all the slide show captions in the wrong order.

Can't be that many British pop stars who toured SA in the 70s?

And if "he's an OBE", then its thankfully (for my mum's sake) not who I immediately thought before clicking on the link.

EDIT - Though actually, it could be, if they based their article off Wiki...

Yeah, that's who I thought it was. There is another OBE'd Grammy Winning Star of the 70s with long standing rumours of course - but I'd give no quarter to it being them here, naturally.

I'm useless at the subtle clues, but I suspect we're on the same page anyhow.

If you're suggesting a fairly obvious candidate who liked his groupies young

Not sure his all conquering band ever gigged in South Africa.

Aye, but since when was the Led Zeppelin guitarist a: " A Grammy award winning singer, he holds an OBE and has been courted by politicians, celebrities and TV networks across the world."

Aye, thats very true.

Thought I'd posted that dull reply an hour or so ago. Are there any other OBE awarded Grammy Award winning British artists of the 70s?

Actually, given the Grammys, all of them, I'd assume!

A number of the big names of the time have been awarded Knighthoods, so It is odd that only the comparatively lowly OBE is mentioned.
