Abdelaziz Bouteflika

Aye, but you were on top form the other night, no question.

Talk about top form... Maryportfuncity has been Deathlists savior. Always posting the sh*t you post which most of it is done with much effort and quality. You have been there in Deathlists time of need and that we should all respect.

Times have changed but you must smile at the new faces entering our beloved forums. They may never amount to the likes of Windsor, Tempus Fugit and myself but they may be real regulars in the future.

I think Deathlist isn't falling apart but more the less - Has alot more to give. :)

I know that I for one have come here to see where my contributes can aid and assist this lovely forum. Now, can we all return to discussing the aforementioned Mr. Bouteflika and his health? The news seems silent as to his being this sunny morning.

AB's coming under some international pressure as a result of the growing use of bureaucratic ruses to stop journalists digging too deep inside Algeria.

Stuff obviously needs hiding. I doubt much of this concerns his longevity, but we can hope, eh?

Yes. My source inside the IAEA tells me that Algerian physicists are working on a new kebab recipe that could potentially de-stabilise the entire european take-away industry.

... the magnitude of notoriety recently achieved by Iran and North Korea through their nuclear programmes could be dwarfed by a cunning blend of pitta bread, minced lamb, salad and sauce.
It is assumed that the pitta bread components will not be exported from Algeria due to the risk of shipments coming under attack from, or being stolen by, agents of the Axis of Weevil.

sorry

Health Update

Abdelaziz Bouteflika has angrily denounced speculation about his health, saying that he had been very sick but has emerged in "an absolutely marvelous way."

Zizzy and I dined last night and he seemed fit as a fiddler crab...no wait that's wrong...we dined on fiddler crab while Uncle Wilfie played a cello.

The rumors of Zizzy kicking the can any time soon are just that...rumors.

Late breaking news Zizzy sent me a message regarding his feelings of world peace and also the following statements from a recent news article.

Algiers - Algerian newspapers on Wednesday welcomed President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's candid admission of a recent illness and said it had removed an element of uncertainty hanging over the oil-exporting country's political scene.

Bouteflika, 69, shed months of official reticence about the sensitive topic when he told reporters on Tuesday he had recently been very ill but made an "absolutely fabulous" recovery. They shouldn't sensationalise the matter, he added.

"You're making a meal out of something that doesn't exist," he said in answer to a question. "I'm a man like absolutely everyone else. It's quite clear that if I had health problems I would have to go back home for good.

As for upcoming events Zizzy is expected to be welcoming Soccor playe Zinedine Zindane in the not to distant future. The invite has been issued and accepted.

Abdelaziz Bouteflika is ill again.

"No details regarding the 69-year-old president's illness were given. There has been much speculation regarding Bouteflika's health because of his failure to appear at several public functions in recent months."

President of Algeria, Bouteflika, has been flown to Paris for medical treatment after a mini-stroke.

He has his own thread, why not post it there? Hardly a despot

Alright.................................. Eternal thanks for this constructive criticism.

To save Adrianwhatsit searching, here is the Zizzy Bouteflika thread. A constructive use of the search function so oft ignored. Apparently Zizzy has had a stroke. He'll live. Not for ever of course but he'll see the end of this month for sure.

Coverage of Police protesters in Algeria included this:

"The poor state of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's health has called into question who is running the country"

I think this guy might be a good bet for 2015.

Alive and well, doing all the things a President does. Today he had a bunch of Algerian women visiting for Int'l Women's Day. Two days before he entertained the Emir of Kuwait.

His two trips to France for medical reasons 5 weeks apart late last year sure fooled me. I've no reason now to believe he won't see 2016.

Recently, there has been, again, much speculation on Bouteflika's health, as he disappeared for a couple of days last month:

Don't bite on this, it's just his end of the year checkup. Please see late 2014 for further info.

On 2/20/2017 at 15:18, Thatcher said:

Chancellor Merkel's visit to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria on Monday has been cancelled as he is ill with bronchitis.

Reports are coming through that Bouteflika has died, not sure if they're reputable or not.
