Obviously I don't concur and we will have to agree to disagree :)

I only think that because it is neat and there is a clear justification for the decision either way. I have no authority here so it is only an opinion. I am interested in some of your selections but I bet you aren't thinking of starting one for Bernard Hepton

I just feel it's not as cut and dry as only having deathlisters with individual threads.

I was genuinely surprised when the very elderly widow of a former prime minister and absolute music icon Shirley Bassey didn't have their own threads. Especially as Shirley was rushed into hospital for emergency surgery around 2007/8 I believe.   I feel she's too big a name to miss and be caught unawares.

I would also argue that I'm not being as prolific and "bad"  or excessive as some suggest.

Ie I haven't included anyone aged under 80,most are household names and all would be known to people on here. Their not obscure in any way.

Yes I posted three at the weekend and I felt they were all overdue but since then I've slowed the rate of posting new threads. I have none planned for today!

I am working my way through a list but will do so gradually as to not flood or spam the forum.

I'm sure I will be thought of by some as doing so but I genuinely don't think I am. I'm actually being quite thoughtful about it and have put a line through many names included in my original brainstorming!

Carroll Baker, Joel Grey, Princess Alexandra are just some of the names I felt were not right for an individual thread anytime soon if ever.

I am conscious that there is such a thing as too many but I'm also conscious that for some any additional individual thread is too many!

I'm just trying to make an attempt at my own defence here, I don't view myself as arguing with you or being narked etc so it's all cool!

But your right I won't be doing a thread for Bernard Hepton -whoever he is! :D

Cheers Bibliogryphon

There are a couple of us who are going to make a concerted effort to get Bernard onto the 2018 list.

He has a secret army of supporters.

Just started to look him up! Married an actress too. I don't know how many of the committee are on here, how often or how the committee even really works and decides things but I would urge you to continue to campaign to have your guy Bernard on the deathlist! I think you have a good chance of succeeding and a decent case!

This is not the kind of forum that gets me indulging in self pleasuring!

Instagram seems best for that! So much  sexy man heaven on there!

If you don't know who Bernard Hepton is you may not have understood my attempt at a joke.

Bernard Hepton played the lead character in Secret Army which I remember as a superb series.

Following Secret Army the BBC made a hugely successful spoof on it called Allo, Allo.

In Allo Allo there were two British airmen who spoke English with a pathetic French accent which basically meant they said things like 'pissing' instead of 'passing' and the scriptwriters regularly 'cleverly' gave them sentences that meant their misused vowels produced normally quite vulgar sentences.

It was cheap laughs but it was one of those programmes that was hard to watch without finding yourself laughing no matter how determined you were not to.

Actually Grim is misleading you it was the British agent who was disguised as a policeman who got all the words wrong the airman just showed up speaking in very upper class English accents. One of the airman had actually been in Secret Army.

Arthur Bostrom played Officer Crabtree.

Which is a nickname applied to a colleague at work who thinks foreign customers will understand him if he speaks loudly.

Of course, but that's the nature of life. Many a prospective DDP joker has failed to make the starting line.

Those who contend just put the next hospice dweller on their list, and the rest of us go "Oh bugger, well, Bernard Hepton's still alive..."

And you know what? Bernard Hepton is still alive. B)

Cribbins would be a good Deathlist name, too, though he is still doing BBC kids stuff. Proper legend, imo.

That's as far as I can go on a theme team of Bernards.... Bernard Hill's still going, aye?

Bernard Hopkins, although finally retiring at 51 means he's no longer in danger of being beaten to death in the ring.

Ethel Kennedys family paying 90th birthday tributes to her on social media.

Big party held today apparently with many of the democratic party's bigwigs like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi in attendance.
