French speaking deathlist

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i don't know if there's some french people here.

But i would like to make a french speaking deathlist next year.

Same rules than deathlist, we just have to choose 50 french speaking people.

Cause some of our celebrities are not enough famous for original game.

Here is 1 name who I don't think is famous enough for DL but might meet criteria for 50 French speaking celebs

Cesar nominee Claire Maurier b. 1929

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0561158/

Has not appeared in any projects since 2013. Had been working regularly in film and tv since the early 50's.

Hi, I'm from the french-speaking part of Belgium and we use to play our own deathlist with some colleagues for three years now...

Had the same idea, too. What we first need to agree on is a common reference for obits, I think...

For the english-speaking deathlist, an obit has to be posted on UK media for taking a death into account. (See above the list on the frontpage). That won't be the case here, so do we say "French media" (not really fair for us belgians, but hey...) ? Or the Wikipedia page ? (Our reference at work).

Not a frenchman myself, but Jean-Louis Trintignant is a no brainer. Surely his daughters murder had at least some effect on him. He also suffered an injury a few years back.

A good pick too is Renee SImonot, Catherine Deneuve's mother.

Nice idea. My second theme team is about French people, take a look at my signature. Maybe you will find some good picks in there.

We have a lot of French names in the "Foreign Personalities" thread (mostly cinema people) and the Charles Aznavour thread broadened out over time to include chanson stars in general. They might give you some ideas for potential candidates for your list. Good luck!

See this list:

Albert Uderzo, Jacques Chirac, Johnny Hallyday, Andre Gounelle, Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, Liliane Bettencourt and Pierre Cardin are also good potential picks.

I have no idea.

Petula Clark is a naturalised Frenchie and she is 80 odd.

JP Gaultier is only 65 but always looks ill but I wouldnt pick him coz I liberally cover myself in his 'Le Male' after shave every single day. :)

So, erm, Michael Lonsdale it is then.

Maybe some Nouvelle Cuisine people, or nouveau vague, or the correspondent novelties in photography and the arts. Raymond Cauchetier, Agnes Varda, Paul Bocuse.. (Book has two of them, I think)

A French lady named @ImissMontpellier drops by occasionally. She'd like this forum. I think we have a few French Canadians, too.
