I don't think it became Stage 4 cancer until 2017.  I believe she revealed she's been battling cancer (again) since 2013, but that it metastasized in 2017 and spread to her bones at that time.

The cancer was in her shoulder in 2013 - that would be classified as a metastasis (stage 4).  Granted, the shoulder bones are not, in themselves, a vital organ.

Didn't know that.  Thanks for the clarification.

Looks a bit fuller in the face in that photo with Sharon Osborne. She's certainly giving cancer a good run for its money.

This definitely has the feeling of her being made a Dame now before it's too late.

Well she has had terminal cancer for a couple of years so the honours committee like us all probably figured that she is likely to go sooner or later and thought they don't want to wait until it is too late.

While I do think there may be an element of 'before it's too late', Livvy, sorry, Dame Livvy's gong is thoroughly deserved as she's done shedloads for cancer awareness and charity in Australia and around the world.

Olivia De Havilland was 100 before finally being made a Dame and is with us yet.

Dame Livvy is going to be playing at the Australian Bushfire Relief concert in Sydney in February. It'll be her first concert for quite some time and although it is for a very worthwhile cause, it also suggests she's feeling better health-wise than she has for some time.

Cracking lineup too.

The Pete Murray mentioned is the 50 year old Aussie singer/songwriter, right?

The very veteran DJ isn't MC'ing the whole thing, is he?

Fun (not fun) fact: "Arena" is actually Tina Arena's real surname. However, "Tina" isn't her real first name.
