Joey Russ 7,220 Posted July 6, 2018 I'm not going to try and guess which 25 are debuting/returning to the list until around November/December, however, I'm going to say my opinion on which of this year's squad should return to the list if no one else dies (note, it's my opinion rather than what the committee will actually do if all of these people survive). Centenarians (or will be centenarians next year): 1. Kirk Douglas 2. Herman Wouk 3. Olivia de Haviland 4. Lord Peter Carrington 5. Vera Lynn Old people that could be potential bedblockers in the future (though I think a few of these are on the way out, those people are *): 6. Prince Philip 7. JPCD (he's on 5 lists already, would be a waste to drop at this point imo) 8. Stan Lee* 9. Bob Dole* 10. Robert Mugabe 11. George Bush Sr* 12. Henry Kissinger 13. Denis Norden Those who are old but are ill enough to stay on the list: 14. Stirling Moss 15. Leslie Phillips 16. Neil Simon Those who aren't necessarily old, but are ill enough to warrant a carry over: 17. Leah Bracknell 18. John McCain 19. Jill Gascoine 20. Clive James The last five are for people who I think will make the list as the most deathlisty (though 4 of these are people who will be 96 or older next year, thus being too old to drop imo): 21. Betty White 22. Pierre Cardin 23. Doris Day 24. Bob Barker 25. Pope Benedict XVI

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted November 6, 2018 For the record, the rules are that the Committee 'can keep no more than 25' from the previous year. There was a lot of shite on this year's list, apart from those who died and maybe another 15 ancient folk. There is no rule saying the Committee MUST bring back 25 of the previous year's names, and all y'all keep saying 'here are the 25 I would keep'. Allow Sir C to suggest there will be less than 25 keepers so feel free to add plenty of new names. Nowhere does it say 25 candidates MUST reappear. Just that only that many CAN reappear.

Nowhere does it say 25 candidates MUST reappear. Just that only that many CAN reappear. When I was listing the 15 I think should be taken off. I got to 14 and the last place was hard to pick because I could understand why each of them would deserve a place on the list. So I would say there are at least 27 good names remaining but the committee might have BETTER names.
