Who is this guy? I never heard of him, and he likely doesn't deserve his own thread...

He's a continental phenomenon. Eternal A-list name in Europe.

Ah, the generation gap.

At first, I thought that Joey was only joking.

Then I realized that he is a Frenchie and they don't really air French films in the U.S. of A. (And yeah, he's no longer the major film star that he once was.)

Tbf, I checked his Wikipedia page before I made that post, and it wasn't that big. Clearly there's stuff I need to catch up on...

Here he is as Tom Ripley in Plein Soleil (1960).

You will know the remake in its original (source) title The Talented Mr Ripley.

A man whose career makes Al Pacino look consistent. He was in Rocco and His Brothers and The Leopard, but he was also in Airport 79 and Asterix at the Olympic Games.

I don't know if internationally is the right word, I think across Europe is probably more accurate since none of the American posters who posted so far had recognized him. But I'm not doubting whether he's famous enough for his own thread anymore...

Ah, now I have heard of the Smiths and listened to their music (call me a twat, I dare you). :P Just wondering which cover he's on...

For this forum it is unsurprisingly The Queen Is Dead...

Only heard of him because he's on a famous album cover, that's the only reason I know his name

Which one is the cocaine snorting old lady?   Presumably she is long dead, but looking at the scene again, she doesn't appear to be that ancient, so might still be alive and freebasing somewhere.

TBH, If I had been a young woman in the 1960s Id have happily let Bradford smash my back doors in.

He was a handsome 'mans man'
