That's a shame.

Not the only legend MIA either. I can't see Stab in the Dark ie Ali!

Heads up: Shivakumara Swami is picked under two names (Swami and Swamiji).

He really needs to legally change his name to "Really Old Sri Sri Dude" already to spare deadpooler headache.

I thought Amb3r Sn&1lham had died? Possibly mixing her up with another FFBI only type.

Damn, yer right. I suppose it wasn't a surprise given he's a busy man these days and how up-in-the-air the Hartlepool's host status was seeming late December, but still a shame to see an old-school giant bow out.

That's legit 2 of the greatest to never win the title gone this year. I guess that makes you the out right "best never to win" now.

I'm the highest ranked 2013 player in the game this year, as well! Only half of that year's top 10 are competing in this one.

Cheers for your hardwork @Spade_Cooleymuch appreciated taking on such a mammoth task.

A tiny error in my Gooseberry Crumble team as you still have Carmen Franco listed when she died after Christmas so you should have gone to my first sub.

Also the Richard Baker in my Blueberry Crumble team is the elderly bbc broadcaster not the Scottish politician.

Hope you don't mind me pointing it out incase you haven't noticed! I'm not trying to nitpick. B):)

Glad Elias made the drop 40. Bucket of Blood seems pretty strong, with very few differentials from me, one of them being Vanessa Goodwin. So my chances to revenge last year top five place are Goodwin not obiting (which seems unlikely considering how many top deadpoolers picked her) and Clegg/Tapie/Heine dying. We'll see.

A lot of pressure on my two unique picks, Gerard Basset and Kalpana Lajmi, to score for the team this year.  Basset was the wildcard - I just thought the team needed a sommelier - so I'm pinning most of my hopes on Lajmi, as well as hoping the Guardian take an interest in deceased low budget, feminist Bollywood directors.

Sorry to see long term veterans Ali, Banshees and OoO bow out.  Hopefully at least one of them will be back in the future. Thanks to @Spade_Cooleyfor the hard work and a special thank you to @themaninblack for your years of toil.

Yes, well done, Spade, herculian effort. Also, that Recoba comment! :D

And well done TMIB, I hope he's putting his feet up somewhere and relaxing.

I wish you luck with Basset. He lingered in my final few names for so long, but while his type of cancer is usually quite grim, I just couldn't find out what stage it was at. I thought he seemed a Spade pick at the time, then remembered he wasn't playing, so glad at least someone went for him!

Glancing over other teams, I see Doddie Weir is a unique for Dave's Dead. Likely to be the last time he's a unique pick in his lifetime, imo. Despite a few mentions on here, Alain Delon is also unique. No one took a gamble on Mazie Hirono.

Rather surprised that Rae didn't make the Drop 40. Oh well.

Looks like she was only 1 or 2  more teams away from sneaking in.

Are we definitely sures @Banshees Scream @Octopus of Odstock and @Rotten Ali have bowed out and there identifiers haven't been mixed up. That's a massive resignation from the top of the board with the addition of @Spade_Cooleybowing out.

Opens the field up for other competitors though. Anyway has anyone done a sweep for teams from Margere Hein (unlikely), rockhopperpenguin and Dr Zorders? I can't remember there DDP team names.

Judging by the relatively few teams who picked Victorio Cecchi Gori I'm assuming I got done on that one.

I noticed that The Team With No Name has no nominated joker. If you can check back on that, that would be great. Can you also check to see if any other teams have no joker showing? Thanks...

Shot in the Dark only has 11 uniques. One year it'll actually get 20 which is it's secondary purpose (although it's hard not to think of DDP type people and it feels cheaty to skip them).

The wrong Nick Clifford is listed in my selection. It's the last surviving sculptor who worked on Mount Rushmore that I selected. Perhaps I should have put Don "Nick" Clifford.

Also Rose Lee Maphis was born on December 29th 1922 in Baltimore, Maryland

Stephen Hillenburg another unique unlikely to be so next year.

For some unique old people who feel like they'd be on 4-5 teams rather than just 1, you have Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Marge Champion, and Stanley Donen.

Unrelated to uniques, but the Headless Church theme team reminds me a bit of DDT's Hartlepool teams.

Ivan An Idea For a Team must be a game-runners worst nightmare; twenty Ivan Ivanovs.

Also even 19 uniques isn't enough for that team to top the most uniques record. Remember that joke about waiting forever for one bus.....

Scrubber Out - 20 (Porn Stars/Adult Entertainment)
Not Gone Yet But Still Forgotten - 20 (Fallen Stars)
It's a Cop Out - 20 (Police Chiefs)

I am right in thinking there hasn't been twenty uniques in a team before, seem to remember that being the verdict when we found on with 19 last year.

There's been a fully-unique team as early as 2011.

Nah, I know Spade’s team of just old enough age to be eligible as well as some team with a bunch of numbers got 20 before...

EDIT: Death Impends ninja’d the post before me...

Damn, I got 9 uniques this time. That's one less from last year, but still a lot for a main team. Also, I have two more Drop 40 bonuses than last time.

Happy to see Loongkoonan back on the DDP page again, but she has a first name, ya know! Kinda funny that people are still picking people like Wilko Johnson, lol. They've clearly been living under a rock for the past few years.
