Just a thought - do we really need photographs of the picks?

The brief bio should be enough information.

From my own list I chose

Sinclair, Angus
Born in Glasgow, Scotland  (exact date unknown)

Scottish serial killer. Sentenced in 2014 to life in prison for the World's End Murders in 1977.

Does knowing that he looks like THIS make that much of a difference?

If I'd have known he looked like THAT I'd have made him my Joker.

Don't be fooled, that was just his day to day normal rapist murderer looks.

He's probably gone downhill since, hopefully.

Disappointed that you whiffed on the opportunity to put a fine young lady's (Falkholt) photo on the  DDP front page and instead you shove Jimmy fucking Armfield at me.

I think Falkholt had something Southern Italian in her appearance. In fact I controlled and her mother was from Sicily.  Self given applause for that

So sad that someone who is more famous than Jessica Falkholt makes the front page.

It's almost as if Armfield had established UK notability and wasn't known solely for getting into a car crash.

Plus that's a great fucking photo,

Loses something when squashed down for the homepage I admit, but I love it. Nearly captioned it "see you in a few months Jack?".

On a serious note, though the photos aren’t necessary they do put a face to a name.

ON THE OTHER HAND....why the hell do I give a damn where the person was born?  Not only do I not care but this seems like a LOT of unnecessary work for the Admin to track down.

If you want to do away with something allow me to suggest that.  So Angus Sinclair was born in Glasgow, so what?

20 Hits No Problem is currently at 55 points with 6 hits after the Alcock-Olivera double whammy.

Is it possible that 20 Hits No Problem is actually Death? Because if so, I don't think that's very sporting. Death, his/her immediate family members, and any affiliated companies should be barred from taking part.

If it was Death, wouldn't his team be ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS?

Assuming Ann Gillis and WPC Davies both get obits (which I would assume are guaranteed by the end of February), that means January 2018 will beat the record for the most hits in one month. A nice leisurely start to my time at the helm then.

Interesting. I kind of thought this was a slightly slower year.

I think the death of John Mahoney has been picked up in at least one other thread.  But for your convenience here is a link:

One for the List of the Missed as he was selected by 1 team in 2017 if not other years.

Graeme Langlands has been notified as dead and I assume points awarded. No write-up though.

Very widely reported including main BBC radio/tv bulletins. Haven't seen him in any masterlist this year.

Daily Mail on board.

Hmmm 'assume points awarded' I may have misinterpreted the need for a QO.  Well anyway....

He was a unique pick for DDP veteran Finbarr, and the points are up on the scoreboard.

Yeah, I meant no write up on the front page of the DDP.
