I didn't think blogs counted as a QO, whether part of a UK newspaper or not.

But maybe I've misinterpreted the rules.

It's not an actual blog. It's part of the Guardian news website with a stupid name.

The Guardian is a fairly stupid name

I mean, has anyone posting here ever found The Guardian protecting them from anything?

Jacqui Forster has died. Tbh, I think I overestimated her obit chances, but if she does obit, it’ll put me as part of the major contenders. Saddened by this though, she seemed like a nice lady. :rip:

Well it puts you in play at least.  Gotta die to have an obit chance, and though I'd agree it looks slim to none, she's done her part.  And as team construction goes, so have you.  All you can do is wait.  Good luck Joey.

Thanks for that, except for the fact that she already got a mention in the Guardian, posted by Spade in this thread...

Today's Times has the obituary of policing expert Professor Peter Waddington, who died back in March. A mixed bag of accomplishments:

Bruce Tulloh at 82

He died on 28th April so perhaps I'm going to get a Clive Dunn but I searched all content for Tulloh and got nothing.

I searched and have no idea why Art Clokey (d 2010), the inventor of Gumby, didn’t have an obit posted.  At least our provided search box tells me no.  So first let’s take care of that goddamn injustice.

Anyway, as we scoot through the 8-year time machine to present day, his son has died.

Joe Clokey, a producer and the caretaker of the Gumby empire that began in the early 1950s with the creation of the pliable clay figure by his father, the late Art Clokey, has died. He was 56.

Clokey died March 2 in Santa Barbara after an episode of cardiac arrest.

Can't believe we all missed Professor Steven Marcus, the world's foremost expert on Victorian pornography. Thankfully the Telegraph cum in with a late obit.
