Would’ve been amazed if he was still here in 2019, but that’s one of the two slam dunks not on my team I currently have for next year so far. Well, had in Jones case...

Ah, 3rd hit for my Generation Game team this month - if a QO comes up.

But between early 2016 and mid-2018 there was no news on him. At least I couldn't find them.

Joey Mente, Filipino basketball player who might’ve been on your longlists for his cancer battle has died aged 42.

Walt Harris, the "voice of roller derby", is apparently in pretty bad shape and needs 24/7 care. Dunno about obit possibilities.

Not like it’d matter much, he’s dead.

Well, whoever this UK non-entity is, dollar to a cent he gets more obits than Ian Toothill and David Fisher*.

From what I could see, he was sort of a Lloyd Grossman who went to the US and made Lloyd Grossman type TV shows. Before he moved to the States in the 60s he was a Daily Mail journalist.

And Biblio ain't the only one pissed about the lack of Fisher's obit. Just seems a right lack of respect for certain folk (writers, TV character actors...) by major publications these days. Really this site is far more respectful, between the lot of us someone somewhere catches the news and reports it, and someone somewhere remembers them fondly (not counting Ian Brady types)...

Even if it is for a stilted 30 second cameo at WrestleMania IV!

Could it be that David Fisher didn’t receive an obit because he wasn’t in the public eye after his tenure on Doctor Who? That’s my only guess on why he might’ve not received an obit (but I feel he deserves one for sure)...

Craig Mack, Lovebug Starski and now Robin Leach: that's three people namechecked in the lyrics of "Ready to Die" gone so far this year. Anyone know what Christopher Williams is up to?

After Dr Who, he worked with Hammer, BBC Radio and eventually wrote a number of history books with Anthony Read right up into the last decade or so when his health began to fail. Incidentally, Read''s own 2015 obit name-checked him too.
