Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Looking at the ages of some of the people on the list I’m surprised Glynis Johns (Winifred Banks from Mary Poppins) hasn't been included, 95 this year and hasn't worked since 1999.

So, currently reading yet another book about Elvis and names - Hollywood and music industry - keep coming up; a couple of whom strike me as obitable and totally off the radar

His co-star in a couple of early movies - Dolores Hart - went off to be a nun; she still is a nun and turns 80 this year

James Drury - actor most famous as the star of The Virginian is still going too; 83 at the moment

I personally think Logan Paul might be on suicide watch for the future, he's gotten himself into quite a controversy (go to "suicide video controversy" on the wiki article.) He's 22 btw. He also has a brother named Jake who was a big viral star on YouTube in 2017. Jake is 20.

Well considering it's not likely that he'll be on suicide watch for the next 12 months he isn't exactly a valid "Idea and Posssibility for 2019."

I know this is kind of early, but Alex Trebek, intrepid Host of  the famous quiz show Jeopardy here in the United States,  had brain surgery last month because he had a fall which resulted in blood clots on the brain- seems to be doing all right, as this video will show, but still, sometime in the not too distant future he just may die!-

Always forget cinema enthusiast Gerald Sinstadt isn't dead. Anyway, he's alive and well enough to maintain an active Goodreads profile.

One of the best ever Viz Roger Melly strips involved Roger going to a cinema and pleasuring himself before arguing it was the least enjoyment he'd expect given the price for the ticket.

Sinstadt could have no greater tribute.

Perhaps not for 2019, but one to maybe consider for your long lists. Tessa Dahl, author, actress and daughter of Roald Dahl, is not doing too well. She is appearing in a US court next week facing up to 5 years in prison for theft. The article mentions her struggles with alcohol and drug addiction.

Dutch/Kiwi former 5000m world record holder and silver medal winner at the 1976 Olympic games who then turned local politician and also became an internet meme, Dick Quax, has throat cancer since 2013, has undergone all kinds of treatment already, and it's currently being managed after it had initially spread to lungs and brain:

He got his cancer Michael Douglas-style.

US Rep. Elijah Cummings has been hospitalised for the second time in a week after previously being hospitalised for a 'bacterial infection' and undergoing a 'minor procedure.' Wouldn't think much of it if it weren't for the fact that his wife dropped out of the Maryland governor's race for personal reasons a couple of hours before this was announced - have to imagine it's serious enough if she's dropping out despite the election not being for a couple months.

Watching ITV's Greatest TV Moments of All Time show. It's dire. John Cleese looking quite old, voice creaking at times. Whereas William Roache looks the same as ever, while in him yet, imo. Andre Previn looks OK for his age but might be worth a punt before too long.

David Jason "unable" to provide even a video link for his award - likely because the show is shit, but mentioned just in case he snuffs it in a few months.

UK/Aussie TV "legend" Cornelia Frances has bladder cancer, and had other health problems in 2017:

I think anyone who played the formidable Sister Scott (not to mention Barbara Hamilton) can be referred to as a legend. Hope she pulls through; she's fab.

Carrie Gracie, a BBC journalist has stepped down as China Editor stating 'secretive and illegal pay culture' and a pay gap between men and women at the BBC. Curiously, however, for a company which she claims is acting illegally to the point her moral outrage makes her feel the need to step down, she is actually in fact moving to a job at the BBC TV Newsroom. Is she really 'stepping down'? Or is she just having a relapse...
