Jet Li's manager issues statement to say the kung-fu star is "completely fine".

The disease he has can take decades off you life depending on how long you've had it. Think he could go within next few years. He has a resting heart rate of 130/140

Just watching last night’s Celebrity Juice, Lisa Stansfield looks rough as guts, so much so I’ve just made a 50p bet with the old man that she’ll be dead in 5 years.

I'm sure she'll already be on people's radar, but Maureen Lipman collapsed this evening on stage in the West End and could not continue with the performance. She wasn't hospitalised, but no cause has been given.

Maureen Lipman collapsed live on stage in the West End yesterday. Probably nothing serious, but you never know?

Sorry Thatcher, missed your post, but totally agree with you! Until now Lipman seems to have been in great health?

Joe Redner, "strip club king" of Tampa, Florida, has lung cancer:

https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2018/05/19/tampa-strip-club-king-redners-battle-for-homegrown.html

Why might he be interesting?

1. He is in a legal fight because he wants to grow marijuana to aid his treatment

2. Wikipedia calls him "the father of the nude lap dance"

Little tease...

One of the greatest living writers in the world is currently "not well" and could die soon. By "not well" I mean "very very unwell", and he is a huge name. Will tell you after he's gone...

If it's who I think it is, I can say that they have been on my shortlist for a while now, and probably would be on my team barring any new names coming up (which of course more new names will show up). But I think the chances of them making the starting line is slim indeed...
