Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Recommended Posts

I just found out that Monty Norman, credited original composer of the James Bond theme, is still alive and presumably still receiving royalties. Turns 91 next year

Just was researching Mad Magazine and realized Al Jaffee is 97. Even though he’s still actively working haven’t seen mention of him as a possibility.

Edit:

then again maybe not the best choice hardly looks his age

I haven't given up smoking, I'm still a size 18 and can't speak fluent French - but I'm not changing any of it in 2019

The obese Bryony Gordon of the Daily Telegraph. She also has depression. Plus she has to read the comments under her articles.

She's 38 years old.  Regular smoking will take 10 years off her remaining life expectancy, obesity maybe another 5, depression possibly another 5 again.  Even with all that on the clock, she has in all probability got decades to go.  Not a realistic prospect for next year.

Eddie Large is in my “I thought he was dead” category as it’s so long since he was on TV regularly, he was hardly a picture of health then, he has had multiple health problems since and most of his light entertainment contemporaries from the 1980s are now pushing up daisies.

He’s 77 and had a heart transplant 15 years ago.

Not sure of any current health issues, but wouldn’t be a surprise.

John de Lancie seems fine, I had a recollection I had read of a health condition.

So perhaps Ronald Mallett.

Gladiators ref John Anderson is 87 now, and hasn't been in the best of health the last few years.

And £1.05 on Amazon to get his play figure. Bargain.

Lawrence Ferlinghetti. No health issues that I know of, just that he is up there in age. He turns 100 in March.
