Neat. I don't think he's at death's door but I wanted to see him on the list eventually.

I think Chirac would've been a better pick but I think it's about time they chose d'Estaing

Now that they chose Giscard, I'm sure that Chirac and Delors will go before him. :P

Not a bad choice, but not a dead cert either.

Here is a recent photo of him and his reaction to the death of Jean D'Ormesson:

Where is Giscard's photo? The photo on the article is of Jean d'Ormesson.

Ha, you're right, I'm sorry.... I thought he looked appropriately wrinkled enough to be D'estaing.

According to this article in L'Eperon (a website about horses), Jacinte Giscard d'Estaing died at the age of 58. The former French president's daughter was a veterinarian & horse enthusiast.

A parent burying their child is a fate I wish on no one. Regards to their family

These two belong on next year's death list. I wish them a long life, as long as they enjoy it, but how long are they able to hold on?

He is in better health than my grandfather was at 77, so no: I think he should be dropped.

Based on this evidence, I reckon about 18 months to two years before Giscard gives his final Au Revoir.

And Lonsdale is likely to go before him given what he looks like in the video.
