Alright, there's enough of us on here now to have earned our own topic. Andrea Camilleri, Topo Gigio creator Maria Perego, Nico Fidenco, Omero Antonutti... this is where they go when they experience La Dolce Morte.

Besides Omero Antonutti dying yesterday, Topo Gigio creator Maria Perego is dead at 95.

89 year old Holocaust survivor and life senator, Liliana Segre, currently under police guard after receiving numerous death threats.  She's angered the Italian far-right for suggesting that a committee to combat hate should be established.  That's a lot of stress for an elderly person.  Will her heart be able to take the strain?

Italian character actor Flavio Bucci dead at 73. Probably most recognizable to non-Italian audiences from his roles in Suspiria (he was the piano player) and Il Divo (he was Franco Evangelisti).

Raoul Casadei, the king of liscio, was one of the main figures in this particular type of Italian folk music. He died this morning after contracting a virus...I don't remember the name at the moment...

In a critical condition. Due to COVID-19, he has been hospitalized two months after testing positive again, which prompted him from receiving vaccine. His conditions deteriorated sharply last week, but is showing improvement right now.

Fake News according to fake-news spreader Berlusconi-affiliated outlet Il Giornale. He has only suffered "a minor fall" and is not in any danger.

Emilio himself told he was hit by a car. At 89 years old he underwent minor surgery to shoulder, arm and leg.

Italian "Schlager" singer Milva has died after a long illness at 81:

https://www.repubblica.it/spettacoli/people/2021/04/24/news/e_morta_milva-297804515/

There exists a photo of me in front of a giant poster of her. It was the 90s, and I was 12 or something.

Apparently, in later years she turned to socialist activism and more political songs.
