Oh, I love his work with Alice!

I saw her live two years ago where she performed a lot of his songs and it was an incredible evening!

In that case we share the same taste of music ;)  Alice and also Anna Oxa are both my favourite singers in Italy.

The only Italian musician I know outright is Paolo Conte, who must be in his mid-80s by now, but the fact he's never been mentioned on this forum much suggests Drol thinks he's a bit shit. :D

Well, there are actually few more that are much better known worldwide than Paolo Conte. for example Eros Ramazotti, RAF, Al Bano, Zucchero, Gianna Nannini, Andrea Bocelli, Adriano Celentano,...

Emilio himself told he was hit by a car. At 89 years old he underwent minor surgery to shoulder, arm and leg.

Emilio Fede turns 90 today! :birthday:

As a present his wife Diana De Feo has died.

Too upset to post much at the moment. I've adored and worshipped Raffaella since I was 5. Not felt this distraught about a death since Victoria Wood

Raffaella Carrà's funeral will be shown live on Rai 1 (VPN needed to watch in the UK) on Friday at 11am UK time.

Obviously I will be tuning in for the final farewell, but celeb spotting may be limited as I know very few Italian stars, and those that I may know are 30 years older than I last saw them.

Italian actor Libero De Rienzo struck down by a heart attack at 44. Not a big name, in fact at first I didn't realize who he was but his performances in some of the best independent italian movies  of the last two decades were always notable.

Nicoletta Orsomando, Italian television personality who was the first Italian continuity announcer to appear on television, dies at a hospital in Rome at the age of 92:

She appeared for the first time on 22 October 1953 on Italian television at a time when television in Italy was still experimental, as the first announcer.

Note my "these otherwise missing folk would be nice to write about" team is at 0/20 too! "Not too good" Johnny Giles has outlived about 7 million of his teammates too.
