Ah, I see a ton of people on the hall of fame, but I have yet to win something. which I do hope to change at some point. But I do have to applaud Death Impends for 8 dead pooling wins and DDT 7 wins so far. Definitely shows dedication...

FYI, Book won a third title with the Easter Dead Pool.

Cool. I ignored Sean's 20/20, 50/50 etc because they seem more running games rather than deadpools with set start, end and outright winners, but that won fits.

I never expect to win anything so am more than content with my solitary success!

This TBD character looks dangerous, whoever he is.  Four wins out of nowhere ;)

I think 1 or 2 will turn out to be DI, and one is someone who is on verge of winning their first ever deadpool and appears to be Tigger with excitement.

Right, I didn't want to steal YoungWillz's thunder, only to see he'd officially ended both pools while I was doing other things! The 2017 Hare's and Poker pools are finished, which means two things.

Firstly, @Death Impends now leads for deadpool wins on this forum.

Secondly, @Grim Up North can be added to the list of deadpool winners.

Congrates to both!

Actually I'm in Poland but I drank too much strong coffee on the plane over here and it's now nearly 3am and I'm still wide awake so your description is not a million miles away - not sure what the hell you're doing still awake!

I was very surprised to see that you've only won one Dead Pool yourself and to see that with the plethora of Dead Pools now around these parts that only 12 people have won more than one.

People win these things?

I never know, I'm normally somewhere near the bottom....

@msc, I looked through my old emails and can confirm that Football Fan won the 2008 HPDP.  I've pasted the message below for reference.  One thing that hasn't changed is that I still had Sister Wendy in my team:rolleyes:. Also I'm fairly sure that 'Why Not' in 2009 was Banshees.

Quote

Football Fan.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, once again Football Fan has won the Hartlepool
Deadlypool.  With 203 points, considerably fewer than last year Mr. Fan
has just pipped Godot's Waiting List to win his third title in a row.
Heartiest congratulations Football, your Virtual dead monkey will be on
its way to you just as soon as we can spare one from the work of taking
down the Christmas decorations.

2008 was a quiet year for the Hartlepool Deadlypool with relatively few
hits and even fewer notification emails. Thus one team managed to avoid
the penalty for bouncing emails until the very last one of 2008. Since
it was someone very near the bottom of the scoreboard, it made no
difference to any positions. Nevertheless we plan to be more or less
regular with the notifications this time round so watch out that we have
a valid email address for you otherwise you'll lose points.

Thanks, DDT! Will add Football Fan to 2008, and await confirmation on Banshees 2009 win (well, he still posts here, he could pop in and let us know if it was him?).

My Gray Panthers won the inaugural DDP Theme Team League in 2011 with an exciting come from behind 1 point win.  I only mention it since there's no other way you'd know that the Gray Panthers are mine.

Pretty sure 2015's theme team winner was a member of the forum as well. Red Flag maybe? Don't know which team is which between 2012 - 2014 though...

Nice to know, though I am not counting the theme team league as it's not  fully annexed from the main DDP competition ie despite their little bit to the side, they still appear on the main list, losing to Spade Cooley 4 times.

illustrious company I find myself in.

With other Halls of fames having plaques, honours boards, handprints in concrete and suchlike, I think an old graveyard somewhere, with a headstone for each winner poking up through the weeds would be wonderful.

Would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who put their own time and effort into running the various deathly games. As someone who has run on line games and competitions on different subjects, I know just how time consuming and involved they can get.

You can add a second win for yourself now that the deathrace has ended...

First post edited to add in the 2018 Deathrace winner: me! Yours truly leaves the one hit wonder zone and is now level with Gcreptile (bizarrely imo, that wont be for too long, I don't think) and one of the all time deadpool greats in two time DDP runner up and Hartlepool host Rotten Ali, among others.

Along with John Key, now someone else needs to be added for winning the Easter Deadpool, me. :D
