Fidel Castro

Recommended Posts

According to CNN and spanish newspaper El País, Castro decided against routine surgery which would have provided him with an 'artificial anus'... :crossbone:

A very reasonable decision, I suppose.

An opportunity missed. He could have pointed to his new "George W".

He doesn't need surgery to get an artificial anus - there's a little shop down an alleyway behind Woolworth's in my town that sell them at very reasonable prices.

So I'm told.

The Cuban official's continue to deny that Castro is in fact on his way out. But it seems clear his surgery expected complications. It would be a real come back if he rised in glory to become the leader of Cuba once again.

The Castro's disease is very grave and irreversible. His death is very close.

Fidel Castro is terminally ailing. The death of this old dictator is imminent.

I'd heard he'd a transplant but the new arsehole rejected him!

Apologies to any Monty Python fans who'd already heard that one.

A joke poem for Fidel Castro

One day, Two day

Three day, Four

Fidel Castro

Can't take

Much more

Five day, Six day

Seven day, Eight

Will Castro

Soon meet his fate?

Nine day, Ten day

Eleven

How shall Castro

Be judged in heaven?

Days and time will soon tell

But are there any

Cigars in hell?

Raul Castro won't stay in power for long time after Fidel's death.

And don't forget Raul's poorly missus Vilma, carking Cubans aplenty may be the defining characteristic of the year's DL.

Massive articles in some UK press today, incl three pages in The Observer, smacks very much of the sundays figuring he'll be dead within a week and they'll be scooped on the major write ups and obits by the dailies.

To get back on to the thread - I think Castro is the New Sharon - hanging in till we almost forget he isn't pushing up the daisies.

I have the feeling that they will actually announce his death on a "convienent day". By this, I mean, a historically significant day in Fidel's history, (when he took power, Bay of Pigs etc etc.) when in fact he may already have died a while before.

I wouldn't be suprised if it happened that way accounting on the miracle reporting system of Cuba but I always saw Castro's goodbye minutes after his demise. The fact of Sharon wanders my mind, since the whole 'what if' he lives through the year under the state he is in gets me very aggravated. His faimly is selfish and he should have been history a long time ago. And 'if' he should survive through this year, for certain reasons I can't proclaim right now I would leave him the f**k off next year.

personally i would be surprised with that idea. His brother has now already taken charge of the country. I doubt Castro is dead already.

I suspect that he will die say on a Thursday and the government wait say till the Monday to announce the death of Castro and if it near to a significant day then they wait till that day and make sure the army and other security forces are ready for internal or external pressures .

Cuba, being a bastion of all things socialist, I assume has a free healthcare system. Also, being financially deprived as a nation they may not have enough funds to buy good equipment, doctors etc... (much like our NHS in Britain) and given that most Cubans live to at least 137, so the Geriatric unit is probably quite a small ward, does this mean that Fidel could officially be classed as a bed blocker???

The more they go on about Castro's remarkable recovery, the less I believe them. If he makes it through february, I'll eat my house with a spoon.
