Yes I agree that he might survive 2005 and 2006 ,but 2007 will be his last year as he will fall from grace .Divine Punishment.

How is it divine punishment, if it was divine he would have been struck down before he took control (depending on your point of view).

Then there would have been nothing to punish him for, surely?

Anyway I always thought "divine punishment" was when you're struck by lightning or something - if death in any form qualifies, then it seems we're all going to be punished. :P

Castro and Chavez,

I wonder if this is how our anti-communist ranter sees them.

That is a really good depiction of both men. :o

Castro mocks the CIA report that claims he has Parkinson's.

He gives a 5 hour speech.

He really likes to make people suffer.

Less is more Fidel.

Careful there TF... your wording implies that you're entrenched in the Anti Castro Camp... ;)

Commandante gave a 5 hour speech for one reason only... to show those Yanqui pigs that he's alive and well and capable of boring the shite as well as any of them.

I remember Castro shocking everyone by standing up only a few weeks after his big fall. His health and speed of recovery was spectacular. The man is definetely a trooper.

I also think he should be removed from next year's list.

He is not on the 2006 list. The DL committee made a good decision not to include him.

Why isn't castro on the list?

Because he's fit as a fiddle. Wishful thinking doth not a fatality make.

In other news: Rock Lobster. There, I have posted.

I beg to differ..reports say Castro has Parkinsons disease and is increasingly frail.Dont be surprised to hear news of a serious health crisis at any time...

Beg all you like, it shall do you no good. I'm not sure where these reports I keep seeing are coming from, but they seem to lack credibility. Did you see him after his terrible fall? He literally bounced back quicker than I think either you or me possibily could.

I've met many a spry old man in my life, but Castro is nevertheless impressive. I will indeed be very surprised if he had a non-assassination health crisis in the future, however given the broad spectrum of "at any time," I have a feeling that yes, mortality will eventually prod him with a gentle reminder.

Just not for a while yet.
