Yes, but you were talking specifically about John Thaw.  Now for all I know he might have been secretly bisexual, but I cannot imagine him being camp.

That was my point.

As for an example of someone who AFAIK was straight, but camp, I give you Bruce Forsyth.

Hmmmmm...There's a thought

Apparently the last "public" photograph of Dale was taken in winter 2016 on a night out with his friend Shirley Bassey . He had kept a low profile for whatever reason since . The CCTV picture of him shopping a few days before his death in the Daily Mirror are clearly a different category and not consented photos if you like .

Who would have thought Rock Hudson? Or Liberace,come to think of it? Who knows what they're like off screen? Years and years before he came out,I had TV's Victor Mildew give me the glad eye...mind you I was standing outside a public lavatory at the time(I was waiting for me old mum to come out...well that's my excuse)

I think Richard Wilson was waiting for you to come out.

I have trouble imagining anybody wanting to sneak off at lunchtime to fuck Arthur Lowe.

Maybe he liked a man in uniform. John le Mesurier seems like the best guess.

Lol I don't believe it! Shushhh. Stop spreading scurrilous rumours. I've partly come on to DL to cruise for 'hot chicks' as I've heard it's a bit like Tinder®, but for the morbidly afflicted. My kind of woman!

It's either JLM or Lewis Collins or David Niven. Mystery solved

One of Winton's Sweep questions:

"It doesn't matter whether you are a coroner or druid;

To keep the dead preserved you'd use E____ F_____"

I have to admit I have never seen Supermarket Sweep.

Am i right in thinking that the contestants have to go and select the answer products from the shelves and return them to the podium?

I've never seen it either. In fact I don't think I ever saw anything he presented yet somehow I'm all too familiar with him.
