This is a truer interpretation of Born In The USA, which is not a patriotic flag-waving song.

A song to play in the car, on your own, doing 100, with the sun setting and the volume right up. Glorious.

Here's a much better version of Bach's (?) Toccata &fugue

Few joys greater than finding a truly incongruous cover version. Doesn't really matter how good it is, or even if it's listenable. Here's doyen of the British folk music scene for the past five decades Richard Thompson covering three-hit sk8 punk poppers Bowling for Soup:

Used in Spider-Man 3, 12 years ago. The song is infinitely better than the film, and the film wasn't bad.

Apparently 'chasing cars' is the most popular song of the 21st Century despite never getting higher than #6.

However, it's formulaic shit.

Bollocks, I give up. I feel old.

This goes totally against the grain of stuff I usually listen to. Normally it's just shite I'll tolerate on a night out on the piss, but I actually like this. It's catchy.

I like Billie Eilish for how unashamedly different she is. And this here is...terrifying, actually, but interesting. It works.

50 years ago today (well yesterday), punk rock was born—in Detroit.   Make no mistake.

Not everyone's idea of happening sounds but THIS website has loads of downloads of song poems (a mainly American phenomenon in which the public sent in their lyrics and money and professional musicians turned these contributions into vinyl records with - ermmm - variable results). Oh aye, and...for those of you baffled as to why anyone would give a shit about song poems there were some "stars" in that area much skilled in turning crocks of shit into audio gold of a sort. None greater than Rodd Keith/Rod Rogers. One HELL of a story and we'd have debated him long after his death if the DL (and most of us) had been in existence in 1974 when he died. Even his end is enigmatic and compelling: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodd_Keith
