I surprise myself sometimes. Thought I'd be far too old for this. 4 tins of some cheapo lager says otherwise.

This just came up on shuffle. Very clever. Very odd. Very brilliant.

Geil: Erregung Öffentlicher Erregung means Excitement of public excitement.

Song sounds like 1981 but is a fresh one.

I have to keep an eye on this band!!!

This is one of those few songs that really does raise the hairs on my neck. Every second is perfection.

If I was really pushed, I'd say this was my favourite song of all time. Lyrically, vocally and in every single way-ly, it's faultless.

No dead babies, no prostitites dripping with blood, no maniacs with knives.

About the most out of type song you'll get, and it is fucking great.

Ignoring its Sting, and a shitey 80's bid, and the Scottish lake part........it really is quite good.

Drumming is superb.

Oh ffs, posting on here made me miss the straw thread afore it got locked  ffs.gif

Ach, have another out of type one.

The Human League actually did a decent political song, and the guitars are superb.

24 years on by fuck, and both Shane and Van are above ground.

Still amuses that Van the hun bassa never twigged Shane sang it as G.L.O.I.R.A all the way through nearly :D

I (vaguely) knew one of them as a kid! Used to live round corner from my school, we'd see him out and about, very shy and quiet.

Taggart, of course.

The drummer rests in an unmarked grave (as per Wiki).  If I lived over there I'd drum up (a-hem) some of you to donate a few quid and get him a right proper headstone.   I'm quite serious about that, I find it appalling.
If you know of someone over here in the States what needs a headstone I'll go put a cross on it and the DL website symbol as a gesture and take a photo to post.   Course when someone in the press gets ahold of the cross/skull thing, it'll go viral 'a cult is about!"
