Song makes me think about my daughter when I’m away, which is 80% the fucking time.   She deserves so much better a father than me.

Definitely in my top 5 favourite songs of all time. This version's a live acoustic one 28 years ago, and Stipe's voice is just to die for.

In honour of the great Scott Walker, here's one of his finest tracks - right between pop and avantgarde, not an easy listen, but still approachable:

Saw something a bit surreal in Penge today.

Car that looks exactly like this (not this one; this is just a Google image search). Vicious looking McLaren, bombing about at 4 times the speed of sound, you could hear the thumping from the stereo approaching even before the snarling engine. Anyway, it stops at the lights, this shithouse of a geezer in sunnies has his tattooed arm hanging out the window, looking like a bit of a helmet. What sort of music d'you reckon he's playing? Some kind of rap drivel that's equally gangster, perhaps? Hard rock, possibly? Maybe some bass-heavy dub?

Spoiler

Nope, you're wrong:

Anyway, thanks to this cunt in the McLaren, I've got this big steaming floater of bubblegum pop lodged in my head to the point where I fear it's going to drive me to a sectioning.

The new German No.1: Rammstein with "Deutschland".

Pretty controversial clip, but just the combination of image, text and sound is really awesome!

One can't deny the cultural significance, or at least, the artistic effort.

I think it is more than an effort, they have put it in a nutshell. Well done imo.

Some South American Sixties Shizz. The chorus definitely doesn't sound like a Rolling Stones song released 3 years earlier.
