Got to drinkin me some Good Friday wine/beer/whisky a good spell, and after talkin to the ‘Prettiest Girl in Scotland’ ™️ alls I could think of was ...

I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say.
I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be.
And if I had to walk the world, I'd make you fall for me

I promise, I promise you I will.

Thanks for heads up - I didn’t even know she dropped a new album or that one was even in the works.  This song is good, a bit quirky; hope the whole thing like this.

Ngl, the newest Fiona Apple album is a pretty good record. Strange? Yes. But I like it:

Er, I didn’t miss that source on accident. I’ll just say that I’m blind and can’t read stuff. Yep, that’s it. :D

We should have a generation gap thread ‘you really should have heard this song.  And I mean that both directions.  I can hand over 80s music and probably missed a few songs late 1990s I need to catch up on.

Anyway, this was an early ‘video’ song and a great song at the time.  Total 1-hit wonders.

New from the Stones. First in 8 years. A song for the times. Pretty good, I think.

Rina Sawayama - XS - from her self-titled debut album.

This japanese queer artist gives a modern spin to those timeless classic artists like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey:

That Stones song is awful. Their 70s selves would be embarrassed to hear that. They would have been better just to do a cover of Ghost Town by the Specials.

Anything by the Stones post early 70s is shite. But how dare you even contemplate anyone doing a cover version of Ghost Town. Heresy indeed.

Been to see Bruce Springsteen in Coventry a couple of times and was disappointed that he didn't open with a Specials cover.  He sometimes acknowledges a local artist that way.

I cannot really see him doing a rendition of Nightclub before any crowd. Even in Coventry.

Maybe "Friday Night and Saturday Morning".

I can just hear Bruce singing "Wish I had lipstick on my shirt instead of piss stains on my shoes"

Finally found this song! It was in everything in the noughties. Got to say, it probably wasn't worth searching for for years, but it bangs nonetheless.

A plethora of today's chart-topping artists have done a stay-at-home collective of Foo Fighters' Times Like These for Radio 1. A few of the contributors are a bit naff (AJ Tracey, Paloma Faith, Jess Glynne) but it's a good reminder of how brilliant the song is.
