How many are unique stories? Seem to be a ton (tonne for us metric boys) of birthday/China stories that just seem to overlap.

 

Not that I care really, but same or similar stories only count for one point.

You're right. Some of them are duplicates.

 

I wonder if it is possible to precisely differentiate between them. They all somewhat resolve around his birthday, though I would say that there are many significant differences or "angles", as in "What does Xi Yinping say", or "What does Jean-Claude Juncker do". Or "big statue in his native town causes uproar" and so on.... And then there are the opinion pieces...

I wonder who was the most divisive person in history (before World War II). Karl Marx must certainly be up there.
