Joey Russ 7,220 Posted June 30, 2018 For anyone wondering, Stefansson, Moss, and Wouk replaced the likes of Jackson, Cappotelli, and Butts respectively. Yep, that’s how my randomized 30 went...
Death Impends 7,957 Posted June 30, 2018 Was a bit annoyed at myself for forgetting to pick Wouk when I submitted my team, given how insistent I've been this is his year. Though at least Cappotelli/Butts dying allowed me to sneak him in the subs bench. Also tried playing with the whole "shitton of 1918 people dying at 99" trend by picking Katherine Johnson, Baby Peggy, and Dave Bartholomew (though sources differ whether he was born in 1918 or 1920). Clorox Bleachman 2,407 Posted June 30, 2018 In my entry I called Cappotelli, Krauthammer & Kulsoom Nawaz my "gubbed, but one might see July" names. Only one did see July...
YoungWillz 21,028 Posted June 30, 2018 You guys. I think I'm right in saying that only me and Bibliogryphon had teams which survived from submission to close intact. Sean had 6 deaths in June. His patience in coming up with new subs was much appreciated.

Your list is still pretty impressive though and a strong contender!

gcreptile 10,964 Posted July 1, 2018 I think my team isn't bad, but my cards aren't good. Still, it seems that the number of hits still trumps the bonus points.
Clorox Bleachman 2,407 Posted July 1, 2018 Gooseberry Crumble is the only person without John McCain. Brave move!

Gooseberry Crumble 5,337 Posted July 1, 2018 I think @Toasthas a very good team although I do think it is a little early for the Duchess of Kent. I think 2019 is likely to be her year. @Sean and @theoldladyhave good lists too to my mind. @Bibliogryphon I will swing for you if your selection of June Spencer has jinxed her! Peggy is one of my favourite characters in The Archers and I'm not ready to say goodbye to her yet!
Joey Russ 7,220 Posted July 1, 2018 I think every team is great truthfully. I can’t call a winner on this one because truthfully, any team could win both hit wise and point wise...

Yes it is an open race who knows I may even win despite coming last last time!

Yep, that’s how my randomized 30 went... Wouk = JJackson Hume = Cappotelli Littlefeather = Butts ( I think my 4th sub was Simonton, after that who knows, I kept filling in names as I went lol) I paid little attention to the subs after I posted them a week ago, I'd have never listed the ones I did with new information the last 4-5 days of June. Alas.... Well, maybe I've been directed by the Fickle Finger of Fate (and DP Gods) that Wouk-Hume-Littlefeather are going west soon. SC

Never even considered him when I got Jose Jose for J and the oldest living person for M. McCain isn't in as bad a shape as either of them two. I can see him living 12 months yet. Wouldn't bet my life on it, but I wouldn't be astounded. SC

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted July 8, 2018 Might be a cool twist that whoever gets the first hit next time can use that as a joker/wild card. Just a thought. SC
YoungWillz 21,028 Posted July 8, 2018 Point of this game is for the random cards you are dealt to determine the outcome. Jokers and uniques were deliberately excluded to lessen the control players have on the result. That's why it's "fun"...I guess....
YoungWillz 21,028 Posted July 10, 2018 msc and Toast picked Lord Carrington and announce the first death point awards. Sir Creep had him as a sub and gains 13 Points for drawing the King of Hearts. Leaderboard updated.
