@Bibliogryphon  Are we to assume obit rules are the same as DDP?

I was going to say, there is a lot a glad-handing and liking going on here, when 1/3 of the names haven't a fahkin chance of an English language obit.

I have updated the Masterlist. Game starts on Monday 0001 BST late entries will be accepted but no late entries can duplicate actors.

Nice to see some Forum favourites here A Night to Remember & The Great Escape. Who reckons round 1 will be over by Christmas?

It was a bit lazy of me to pick ANTR    but it is one of my favourite films.

Not at all, I was tempted to pick The Eagle Has Landed, but I'm not convinced any of the living cast are in a great hurry to go yet, thankfully.

Maybe the likes are because they like the films.

It's a small initial investment for what could be quite a few year's fun!

Good call.  I'm gonna make a change, if that's okay.  Instead, I pick

Cannonball Run II (1984)

Arte Johnson (1929)

Tim Conway (1933)

Jamie Farr (1934)

Daleks , Invasion Earth 2150. (1966)

Bernard Cribbins

Ray Brooks

Jill Curzon

* toyed with Zulu, Get Carter and the Good/bad/ugly but plumped for this as I thought Brooks died twenty years ago.

Even Captain Chorizio and Prophet?

Nakadai was the lead of a film that won a Bafta,Oscar and Cannes

Kishi is a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador

I think both would be 80-90% certain to get DDP Obits

Misako Watanabe is a bit of a punt, obit chances dependent on the Guardian having a writer on staff the week she passes being a fan of the Yakuza Film "Youth Of The Beast".Not entirely impossible because The Guardian had multiple articles on the Director  Seijun Suzuki the decade before he passed.

That said a Japanese person in their mid 80's is like 70 for everyone else, so I would be shocked if any of them died  soon
