Katherine Helmond is a hit for me here - the one I expected least!

There is not a hope I'll win this contest... for starters, Emperor Ming the Merciless aka Blofeld aka Jesus aka The Three-Eyed Raven is much too spry.

Congratulations @gcreptile you are the fifth player to get. For the Terry Gilliam masterpiece Time Bandits.

According to this Ambrose Schindler, Winkie Guard and Tin Man Stunt Double In The Wizard Of Oz, died in December 2018 at 101: https://old.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/bdtkua/ambrose_amby_schindler_rose_bowl_mvp_and_one_of/

This was within the period of the competition so this counts and gives @Prophet the seventh hit in this poll.

Still waiting for someone to get a second hit though.

@Bibliogryphon  Are we to assume obit rules are the same as DDP?

Yes. I think some people might be optimistic.

Not that it matters to me but I do like to know the rules :D - does this still apply and if so I'm not sure Reddit hits the spot for Ambrose Schindler?

They are not dead according to the game and thereby you cannot win the round.

Well I did say this so @Prophet has to hope such an obit turns up  before the game gets any tighter.

Doris Day a bit of a miss for us all here.

Most of her films she is likely to be the only survivor.

Still a few around from With Six You Get Eggroll. I've not seen it, but it's well known amongst MASH fans as Jamie Farr and William Christopher are briefly in a scene together years before MASH.

Tim Conway is a hit here for @ajlposh for Cannonball Run II.

Ambrose Schindler still seems obitless so technically we are still at seven hits.

Who is going to get the first second hit?

I was looking how far I am away from my second hit (presumably, Ian Holm) and stumbled across this picture from the premiere of the Tolkien biopic:

Yeah, imo the DL have 1 more chance (tops) to pick Holm. Said to be rapidly getting frailer.

Only Gerald Harper stands between @Toast and victory in the Inaugural Silver Screen Deadpool and it is for Deathlist favourite A Night To Remember.

I can't find any recent news on Gerald.  He looks and sounds hale and hearty here, but it's seven years ago, so who knows.
