DEATHS OF THE SILVER SCREEN DEADPOOL

One of jackpot options on Pointless last night was cast of The Longest Day.

As it's over 18 months since I picked these three I was struggling more than I should have been but remembered Michael Medwin to impress Mrs GUN with an obscure pointless answer (although not one mentioned on the show - I had to show her on IMDB).

So although all three live on this pool has provided me a small crumb of success.

Patrick Jordan not fresh enough in your mind? Or wasn't he pointless? :D

Max von Sydow meets a familiar face and gives @paddyfool his second hit so Gerald Harper and Jamie Farr are joined by the 88 year old Gunnel Lindbloom.

So game on.

Indeed @Grim Up North does move onto two hits and must now consider himself in pole position because he only needs Leslie Phillips to win

Indeed, although with the number of punters in this game on one hit apiece, each of whom has two chances at a hit, the odds are good that our gang of 4 may still grow further before game end.

Added to that if Stanley Baxter were to go next that would mean @Grim Up North and @Cat O'FalkO'Falk could be in a tie break situation.

Doh!

Edited to explain that the above reaction was prompted by the demise of Honor Blackman.

Michel Piccoli's death means that my hopes are resting on Jean-Louis Trintignant. What are the odds of him going before Leslie Phillips and co? Squeaky bum time now.

Meanwhile me and Drol have given the kiss of immortality to our picks!

No, wait, apparently George Mikell died last week? How did someone with that CV die without any of us noticing if so?

The Great Escape was my selected film; George Mikell wasn't one of my selected cast members!

Here's an English-language report from the Metro.

Hello The Metro! Any chance of chasing up Trevor Ray's apparent death while yer lurking? :D

So @msc gets his first hit with George Mikell and @Clorox Bleachman

gets their second hit with Michel Piccolo meaning they only need JLT to win.

Four way race

Five way race, surely?

It would be terribly unfortunate if this and the Scavenger Hunt came to an end at the same time

Well .... we can prepare for the next round of this pool, but not for the new Scavenger Hunt until the categories are revealed.

So there's likely to be a natural gap between the two.

If the first round ends within the next five years, could someone please @me so that I don't miss the second round as well?
