It's not God, it's noteworthy bassist Leland Sklar, who goes by the nickname 'Father Time'.

Who's 71 with no conspicious online history of health problems and a CV that suggests obits are a shoo-in: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leland_Sklar

Incidentally - next surprise death; Gary Glitter is 74, banged up and years from release (possible parole around 2023), deaf and was diagnosed with heart problems. Also a celebrity nonce in jail.

I agree! No obvious signs of self-destruction, but somehow she's the type

Last shocking death was Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, Leicester club owner who died last week in a helicopter crash.

You can't foresee that kind of death.

I don't see her living to 70. I can't imagine her as an old woman.

Correct.

Which in my mind means 'not shocking' and shouldn't be in this thread.

I hardly imagine Mariah Carey and Céline Dion as 70 year old women.

Mrs Dion seems to be a very different person since her husband's death. Actually her life is: Céline Dion Angelil part one and Céline Dion part two. She met her husband when she was a kid, she became a woman with him and now, she is a widowed woman who experiences lots of things. Will she freak out?

Zero health issues.

Just released new album after a decade absence.

Giving interviews.

Everything going just peachy!

Which is why his death will be absolutely shocking.

Donald Trump.  The guy is a ticking time bomb.  Stroke or heart-attack.  GOP might opt for a politically induced coma before this happens, though.

It would hardly be a shock. Statistically speaking 18% of U.S. presidents have died whilst in office; that makes the position one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

Aye, but as he is 9/5  fav to win in 2020, its more likely not a 2019 pick.

Bear Grylls or Lewis Hamilton, both relatively young, both have aspects of danger in their chosen careers.

Bear Grylls almost dies of a bee sting.

I think Jose Antonio Reyes is  a perfect example of a shock death.  Part of Arsenal invincibles and premier League winner.  Also played for real Madrid and a Spanish international.

2 shock footballing deaths within the last year they say these things come in threes.
