I thought this guy was a comedian - where is the punchline in that?

Well he has a very simple act. Just as George Burns used his age later

on in his career just playing a little old jewish man with simple jokes

on becoming old. I'm sure as time goes on Richard Pryor will start

using his MS disease to get laughs.

Just as what i quoted could be a perfect example

of that..

But in all respect he is a great comedian.

I have MS. I can walk, talk, sing, and laugh my ass of at Stir Crazy!

MS is a debilitating disease, it doesn't kill people from what I have learned about it.

I hope Richard Pryor comes to Texas, so I can laugh my ass off in person :P

I don't think he'll die soon!

Hello Meg.... welcome aboard. Many of my friends have MS also and are leading as active a life as possible, so I am quite sure R P wont become an R I P this year. It will be a sad loss to comedy when he does, I'll give him another 2 years maximum though.

Pryor, from what I hear, has Parkinson's on top of MS, which would cover the look on his face. MS hits everyone differently. I, myself, have a very mild case compared to many. I've had it since I was a teen (I'll hit 30 soon), and all it's done is limit my walking and given me muscle spasms here and there. I'd rather not have it, but it's better than it could be.

Back to Richard. I don't want to see him go, and it may not happen this year, but it's going to happen.

Dunno! Might just be a "not very flattering photo"

That particular photograph has been floating around for a few years now. Ever since it became fasionable to listen to Richard Pryor again in fact.

In reality it is avery good guide to what RP looked like 2-3 years ago. Don't know how muxch more likely that makes him to go this year though.

Incidentally, he used to go out with my ex -girlfriend and was reportedly "quiet".Don't know if that says more about her or him.

Quick note to the moderators. Richard Pryor's listing on this years list puts his number of times listed as being just a single entry, however in the 1995 deathlist Richard Prior (with an "i" rather than a "y") is noted. Also the ages are similar at 55 in '95 and 65 in '05. Noted as an actor '95 and comedian in '05.

Can we have corrections to his surname on the '95 list, the number of times list on the '05 list at read "2" and the job description on each to read "actor/comedian"

Thanking you in advance.

Richard Pryor has been increasingly popular among dead poolers over the past two years, but I can't find any reason aside from his ongoing MS, which is sort of haphazardly fatal (although admittedly, he has been going downhill for a long time).

Should he be kept on the 2006 DL?

Doubtful I'd say. Surely there are 50 more likely if we look amongst the postings over on the forum.

Richard Pryor is now officially a senior citizen. Maybe that will produce a fatal rise in blood pressure? :referee:

AP reports says Pryor has died at the age of 65.

May he RIP.

*Scary, I work in a newsroom and came across this site. How creepy someone would have such a list.
