Greatest Ever Scotsman

Well it certainly isn't Chris Iwelumo :) .

So does that mean that we are out of the Euro thingy already?

I heard someone saying that we 'had to win' this match?

Not quite yet Windsor, we are still in 2nd place in the group although we've played 1 more match than 3 of the other teams, no doubt we'll do the usual, play magnificently against Holland and get gubbed by Macedonia etc, somehow ensuring it all comes down to the last match where we do that Scottish thing known as 'snatching defeat from the jaws of victory' :flame: .

Well it certainly isn't Chris Iwelumo  .

Don't be too hard on him, he was off-side. I think :flame:.

Rumour has it that the head of the Scottish Football Association is pressing for an increase in teams for the 2014 World Cup to 48... :)

From this lot, which I notice does not include Sir Alex Ferguson, I'm torn between Andrew Carnegie, Lulu and Saint Mungo.

For me, the greatest Scotsman of the last few months is

singer-writer James Allan. Quite why I find this Proclaimers-sing-Be My Baby-backed-by-JAMC nonsense so affecting is beyond me, but then pop's a funny old game, Saint.

In the Scottish-American category, there's Edgar Allan Poe.

Aye, and Captain Kidd.

Brave heart plays Glasgow:

Part 1: What it is to be Scotch.

In part 2, proof that William Wallace was gay.

Isn't "Greatest Ever" and "Scotsman" a contradiction in terms? :)

According to this it may well turn out to be Mr. Obama  , is there anyone in the USA that doesn't have Scottish or Irish ancestry?

The Gaelic fraternity can certainly lay claim to the Oaklahoma bomber.

And I guess the same would have to be said for John McCain, in which case the US election was an extended-family affair.

Talking of which, is McCain in some way related to the McCanns?

Well, they're all only famous for losing something.

Oh, and McCain was only in prison for 4 years...
