Iconic Rock N Roll star from the 60s,in Jefferson Airplane then later Starship. One of the first female rock n roll stars. Was a contemporary of Jagger, Hendrix,Joplin,Harrison etc. History of alcohol and drug abuse, like David Crosby,Keith Richards and Ozzy Osbourne. Shocking she is still alive

I feel like there's no need for this thread, it's good enough in the popstars thread (unless someone made a psychedelic rock stars thread...)

Aye Ms Slick - who actually sang the line "feed your head" in "Go Ask Alice" definitely belongs with that crowd.

Used to listen to 'Baron Von Tollbooth and the Chrome Nun' a lot in the 70s.  Some quite psychedelic stuff on that album, but for obvious reasons this is the one that stays with me B)

Fantastic wailing in Across The Board. Probably even better than the wailing in Aerie (Gang Of Eagles).

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this thread - Grace is one of my DDP untouchables that I shall *never* put in my team unless she is actually gravely ill. Don't do that to me, Deathlist!

This brief pre-Christmas bit notes her declining health nowadays.

Jefferson Starship to release their first album in 12 years next week. :o

This includes songs written by our Grace Slick, but there's a younger lass singing them these days.

82 year old Grace Slick could be a decent shout for somebodys team next year.  Slick has publicly acknowledged her alcoholism and use of substances including LSD and marijuana.
