gcreptile 10,979 Posted March 19, 2019 Next update: The new hits, as far as I am aware: Mike Willesee, Manohar Parrikar, Edmund Capon, Samantha McConnell Hmm, that's actually less than I thought. If I see it correctly, nobody picked Dick Dale, nor Angus Sinclair, nor Jan-Michael Vincent, etc... However, Bernice McCabe got her belated obit. As such, the result is this: Rank Team name Points 1 GCReptile 628 2 Phantom of the Midway 624 3 Cpt Chorizo 574 4 Devon Death Trip 573 5 Joey Russ 558 6 Clorox Bleachman 548 7 Sir Creep 478 8 drol 477 9 msc 464 10 Death Impends 461 11 Banana 446 12 Skinny Kiltrunner 412 13 Grim Up North 289 14 YoungWillz 268 15 Book 129 16 Yorkshire Banker 124 17 Fixed Business 84 18 Prophet 83 19 markb4 81 20 Deathray 73 20 Gooseberry Crumble 73 20 John Key 73 23 Grave Danger 56 24 theoldlady 49 24 The mad hatter 49 26 The old crem 35 27 Bibliogryphon 0 27 The Unknown Man 0 27 The Quim Reaper 0 27 Pedro 67 0 Ahem, yes I am leading after three hits in this update. However, I previously said that I will not use the replacement period. So I am not going to lead after July. Feel free to point out any mistakes or omissions! Especially those UK-centric celebrities I tend to miss. Edit: Baroness Warnock for the next update

gcreptile 10,979 Posted April 19, 2019 Alright, a quick update before I leave for a few days and before the ketchup bottle of death ejaculates: New hits: Baroness Warnock, Bill Heine, Con De Lange Also: I only just realized Cpt. Chorizo had Pedro Morales - who died in February with NYT obit. Sorry! This is the new scoreboard, and it shows that Con De Lange was a very significant hit for the new leader! (Gets me out of that awkward position, too....) 1 Death Impends 736 2 GCReptile 725 3 Phantom of the Midway 624 4 Cpt Chorizo 616 5 Banana 588 6 Devon Death Trip 573 7 msc 561 8 Joey Russ 558 9 Clorox Bleachman 548 10 drol 522 11 Sir Creep 478 12 Skinny Kiltrunner 412 13 Grim Up North 334 14 YoungWillz 268 15 Yorkshire Banker 148 16 Book 129 17 Fixed Business 84 18 Prophet 83 19 markb4 81 20 Deathray 73 20 Gooseberry Crumble 73 20 John Key 73 23 Grave Danger 56 24 theoldlady 49 24 The mad hatter 49 26 The old crem 35 27 Bibliogryphon 0 27 The Unknown Man 0 27 The Quim Reaper 0 27 Pedro 67 0 2

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted April 23, 2019 Fuxsake I (team #18) haven’t checked in on this one in a while. I have FIVE dead unaccounted for. But I believe only Parrikar has a QO. SirC
gcreptile 10,979 Posted April 23, 2019 Funny how it goes. Sometimes it takes three weeks for three hits, sometimes just three days.

The former had an interesting life, let's see if it's enough. The latter should come with time.
markb4 902 Posted May 13, 2019 Doris Day is a hit here.
theoldlady 2,313 Posted May 14, 2019 Tim Conway is a hit here, my 4th. ( @gcreptilePlease also mark off Peter Tork on your master list under my name.)

Pedro67 232 Posted May 14, 2019 4 hits in 8 days, obits permitting for a couple, with Coggs, Stopes-roe, Day and Conway.
YoungWillz 21,071 Posted May 16, 2019 Bob Hawke a fourth hit for me here.
Gooseberry Crumble 5,347 Posted May 16, 2019 Bob Hawke a success for me too in this pool.
theoldlady 2,313 Posted May 17, 2019 I.M. Pei is my 5th hit here.
gcreptile 10,979 Posted May 17, 2019 Yes, time for an update after these very busy recent days. The Hawke / Conway combo was chosen frequently, and although they only yield few points individually, the combo is nothing to sneeze at. Other hits are I.M.Pei, Brian Walden (another one of Gooseberry's left-field but successful unique hits!), Doris Day, and the now more distant hits of Le Duc Anh and Grand Duke Jean. These two were the only hits in almost 4 weeks! The jury is still out on Tommy Donbavand, Granville Coggs, Mary Stopes-Roe and Ezra Castro (Pancho Billa, who qualified because in contrast to Tyler Trent, was already notable BEFORE his terminal illness). Unfortunately, the jury seems to be in a bad mood... There was also one non-obit I hadn't noticed previously, I think, it must have been Representative Jean Price of Montana. The resulting scoreboard is this: 1 Death Impends 769 2 GCReptile 725 3 Cpt Chorizo 678 4 Phantom of the Midway 657 5 msc 623 6 Banana 621 7 Joey Russ 620 8 Clorox Bleachman 610 9 Devon Death Trip 602 10 drol 571 11 Sir Creep 511 12 Skinny Kiltrunner 412 13 Grim Up North 367 14 YoungWillz 297 15 Yorkshire Banker 230 16 Prophet 186 17 markb4 154 18 Gooseberry Crumble 134 19 Book 129 20 theoldlady 119 21 Fixed Business 117 22 The mad hatter 102 23 John Key 93 24 Deathray 92 25 Grave Danger 85 26 Pedro 67 72 27 The old crem 56 28 The Unknown Man 33 28 The Quim Reaper 33 30 Bibliogryphon 0 First reminder: The substitution period is still 6 weeks away, but maybe you can already start thinking about your 5 substitutions. As promised in the initial post, I will not participate. 4 1

I might just do another update this weekend, with Wouk, Pongia and possibly Bobby Joe Maxwell. Edit: I did find some Doris Day-related clunkers. Yes, I will be going with the 1922 DoB, I don't know what happened there. The update will come this weekend.
