Arctic Monkeys covered the song in question which is from the early 2010s.

Come Together.

Right song but the connection was more obscure.

Apart from Come Together being released a mere four and a bit decades too early nothing wrong with that answer....

I shouldn't have thought any more would have been needed.

You could say it's the nominal/titular cousin of stuck in reverse.

That's fine, feel free to set another one.  It's good to have two or three running, keeps up the interest.

As long as the unanswered ones get bumped when necessary.

Which early 1980s song was the charting follow up to the single released with a title the same as a thread on the forum?

Edited.

Happy Birthday by Altered Images?

Single after the great Dead Pop Stars (heard them on the radio) I hum anytime that thread gets updated.

Right, one of my favourite bands (I mentioned them in extra-curricular here yesterday!) had 15 UK Top 40 hits in their lifetime, but only one of them in 1985. What was that 1985 song?

I'd never have got it Deathers. Think it was still a live question, just taking Toast's suggestion up that we have more than one question running.

In honour of you, I shall listen to the choon...

And I think you should have another go.

Ah, turns out I have some information on that one, if it's the one I'm thinking of. I'll let others have a shot, while I look away. ;)

More clues

1. Toast loves the band.

2. Single was 10th track on heavily underrated 2nd album. Was going to say last track but modern copies have 5 extra tracks including one covering Bryan Ferry!!!

Aha!  I think I know the band, but not the song without looking it up.  I'll let others have a chance.  :D

This is clearly where my "pick an obvious one Toast or Willz will get in 5 mins" clearly backfires!

Okay attempt at a slightly less obscure track.

It would be wrong not to offer our platitudes and praise to the person who guesses this 2010 album-closing indie rock tune with a desert set video that has a somewhat electric feel about it.

I know its wrong but my favourite album of 2010 was The Big To-Do by The Drive-By Truckers.  The final song on that album is Eyes Like Glue

We have. It was Tame Impala anyway...

Got a feeling you might know the follow up though.
