Swami is showing symptoms of kidney failure; asks to return to the mutt but doctors do not let him go.

Marginal at best for DL Cup action, surely

Shifted back to Siddaganga Mutt. Doctor vows treatment will continue.

*For those who don't understand the reference, it refers to "New Reichfuhrer Donitz vows the war will continue" after Hitler's death*

Disenchanted Indian political site reports the Seer's conditions are irreversible. Plus there is a big political crisis going on in Karnataka.

Nonsense. Sri Sri cannot die, only the actors who play Sri Sri.

That's sort of what he says himself re reincarnation, but he doesn't want to hold on to that failing 102 year old body.

He was like the male equivalent of Zsa Zsa seemed able to survive anything and go on forever and he went on 12 years longer than her. Still it was no life at the end, knowone should linger on suffering like he did as it isn’t fair. RIP

Some Indian sources are even claiming he actually received a liver transplant (!) in December, which he did not survive. I hope these are just unfounded claims, as everyone would have the right of getting mad at a 111 year old, already doomed, guy who receives a liver which could have really saved someone else's life.

Shivakumara Swami was a great man. He always advocated for peace and dialogue and guaranteed education for thousands of poor kids. But you judge people not only for how they live, but also for how they die. And he did not die with dignity. He seeked unnecessary treatment when he could have quietly died without suffering in early December, when he showed the early symptoms of liver failure. An outstanding man in life, a shameful one in death.

RIP to one of the grand cult heroes of DeathList. Death can only be a relief at this point, those final months if not years looked a pretty miserable existence.

Nobody's immortal. One day Valerie Harper, Brackers, and Dilip Kumar will die too...

RIP to Sri Sri. Sad he had to live such a miserable existence for the final years of his life.

I doubt he actually wanted to keep on living, in fact, he was probably severely demented and couldn't make his own medical choices. It was his crazy followers who kept him suffering because he was a ''walking god''.
