Brian Travers. He has had two brain tumours removed but he is going against doctors orders and will still continue to smoke, drink and take recreational drugs. (x)

Don't know about all that, but he DID complete 6 weeks of chemo.  Looks fine to me.  We can check in on him in 2021.

How about his touring partner for the last few years, Des O'Connor? Might get two for the price of one.

Neil Shipperley had enough problems before his sexual predation by way of wanking within sight of a mother and daughter became a biggish news headline today. He blamed "issues" - I'd guess he has more now.

Love it when the BBC just put the information in front of you and keep a straight face. The photo above is captioned on the BBC site with a comment from Shipperley's solicitor saying "everything came to a crescendo on the day in question"

Bernard Ebbers, disgraced ex-CEO of WorldCom, has been released from prison for medical reasons. Some say the situation is dire, others say he is faking (to coin a phrase, pulling a Nawaz). Here is one link among many. Decide for yourself.

Just a guess - there'll be at least one Sunday paper this week running the "I'm giving everything to my kids this Christmas, cos I won't see the next one!" story. Obviously, DDP won't generally touch the famous for being ill crowd but there are other dead pools - looking for a quick result.

So, the last list of gravely ill hospitalized people has been a complete failure as everyone survived. Anyway, here we go again, hoping for a better result:

1)Prince Philip of Edinburgh: hospitalized for a pre-existing condition, seems nothing serious, but he is fucking 98 and late GD Jean of Luxembourg was hospitalized too just for precaution at the same age.... we all know how it ended. Still unlikely for now.

2)Daniel arap Moi: In hospital for months and has been on life support. Family now confirming he is gravely ill, rather than going with the usual "routine check-up". Could still hang there for months.

3)Mikhail Gorbachev: should have died years ago, somehow still here. In hospital for pneumonia, but about to be discharged. Still, has definitely beat the odds and there shouldn't be much time life.

4)Vishwesha Teertha: an important Karnataka Swami, currently on life support for respiratory failure. We already know a Swami who lived to 111 though...

5)Shin Kyuk-ho: this guy goes in and out of hospital continuosly. At 98 the fraudster is currently hospitalized, but said to be recovering all over again. It is clear his condition has deteriorated decisively in the last year.

Julie Goodyear and Thelma Barlow both just interviewed on a new Corrie Christmas clip show. Thelma looks old but well. Julie looks frail.

The BBC has now hit rock bottom.

Addy Willis has cancer and fears it could mean that she will not have many more Christmases with her children.

The mother from Wimbledon said: "That really, really, really scares me because they're really tiny. They're four and they're three."

"I have rectal cancer. I have a 6.5cm tumour. I've had radiotherapy and chemotherapy this year.

"My kids know I've got a poorly tummy and that I was going to hospital everyday to get my medicine to make my tummy better.

"When I was diagnosed with cancer one of my first thoughts was 'Will this be my last Christmas?'".

Aw c'mon - there's lower than that - the tabloids wouldn't touch her because this may be her last Christmas.

That said, she's Deathrace points, as and when - just sayin' !

Oh, and ....

"They're four and they're three."

No, one is four and the other is three  Unless they're already thinking about transition.

Your friend entering the Deathrace perchance - only there's been some - ahem - discussion on this matter of late. The requisite rule reads:

2a: A player may enter as many team members facing execution as s/he wants but said picks will only count for deathrace points if they die by means other than state execution - murder, suicide, ill health etc.
