If you went back a few decades who would ever believe Jerry Lee Lewis would be the last legend still staggering?

Can we just say how bad of a year it had been for music in general. So many important names seem to have gone this year...

Joey said this to me last week. I didn't expect it to be a Gooseberry Crumble style promise...

I've had two hits in 11 days in the DDP think that's a record for me.

Three in 12 days in fact - Goldberg, Gascoine and now Richard. I knew that one because you got mentioned twice in the obits written late last night so it was fresh in the mind!

That was more out of frustration of him being dropped then me blatantly stating they should’ve kept him on. I for one always thought he was a bad drop...

My ninth Top 50 hit this year.  The fan mail nugget of info really got him onto the radar for me, more than he otherwise would have been.

RIP

His induction of Otis Redding into the R&R HoF is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

Good Golly Miss Molly.

I turn my phone off for an hour and this happens.

To be fair, I’m surprised he lived this long giving his decades of health problems. RIP.

EDIT: Should point out that of the inaugural inductees of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, only Jerry Lee Lewis and Don Everly of The Everly Brothers are still alive.

Rolling Stone have update their article to say he died from cancer. People are saying it was bone cancer.

RIP a queer icon, no matter if he had self hate for his sexuality at times.

The architect of rock and roll- a major inspiration and influence on Elvis Presley and the Beatles. Mick Jagger idolised him ,and the Rolling Stones used to be his warm up act.https://news.sky.com/story/little-richard-rock-n-rolls-founding-father-dies-aged-87-11985747  It doesn't get much bigger than this. Little Richard was mis named. He was a giant in pop music history.

He was 87 ffs. Shouldn't have been dropped.

It's not expert knowledge that 87 year old is old for a rock star,.
