Who, on the 2019 List, Would You Most Like to Meet?

Recommended Posts

Definitely Cleo Laine for me. A distant relative of mine, who I never met, knew her, so I'd ask her about him.

By all accounts, she is lovely.

Tina Turner - hope she still has the volume.

Edit: Also, River Deep, Mountain High is my absolute favourite song.

Clive James. I watched "Fame in the 20th Century" on my first trip to London; I'd enjoy hours of his insights and anecdotes and literary criticism.

It's a toss-up between Murray Walker, the DoE or my mate Leah.

Bob Hawke could down a yard of beer in 11 seconds. He was briefly a world record holder.

I thought from the Liza Minelli thread you only liked them dead.

As a fellow Aussie, I feel obliged to try to beat that record this New Year's Day.

Didn't know it before, but it's not bad. A good feeling for the song.

He is super-famous in Australia as lead singer in Cold Chisel and a solo artist.

From one drummer to another, probably Ginger Baker. Seems like a great guy

Larry King would also be swell.

The two people on last year’s list I had actually met are both no longer on the list - one died and the other has been inexplicably dropped this year.

I share a direct common ancestor with and hollywood star from the 1940s/1950s couldn't believe it when I found out. Though I share their surname so it shouldn't of been a surprise.

Me too. My grandmother in her later years used to base her life around diagnosis: murder which was shown everyday in the afternoon in the uk for many years. I'd like to tell him what and big fan my nan was of him.
