The 2019 Deathlist Cup

Recommended Posts

Alright guys. I've noticed that nobody has appeared to continue the cup for action in 2020. I couldn't let this behemoth of a dead pool die by the wayside, so I've decided to step up to the plate and host the Deathlist Cup in 2020. I do plan to be an interim host, and hopefully we can find someone willing to host this long term starting in 2021, but for now, the cup is safe for another year. :)

See you around after the new year...

Thanks for keeping the Cup alive, Joey.

Looking forward to playing as a competitor alone... well, until I draw Reptile in the first round for the third time in four Cups!

A noble sacrifice, thanks Joey.

What a relief. I think we all appreciate you dedicating your time to this, Roey.

I intend to cut back my workload at the end of next year, so feel free to bear me in mind for 2021.

In the meantime, though, thanks geez!

4.       Doug De Roo (DJ) - Spade

5.       HM Ershad – Bou

6.       Derrick King - Spade

7.       Tom Long – Bou

8.       Jared Lorenzen - Spade

9.       Ivan Milat – Bou, Spade

10.   Sutopo Purwo Nugroho – Spade

11.   Archbishop Jaime Lucas Ortega y  Alamino - Spade

12.   Rebekah Recker – Bou

13.   Fernando Ricksen – Bou

14.   Gavin Robertson - Bou

15.   Randy Romero – Bou*

16.   Kevin Roster (“incredibly famous poker player”) – Bou, Spade

17.   Slim 400 – Bou

18.   Gigi Simoni - Spade

19.   Blair Vining (rugby) – Spade*

Boudicca (Clegg, Roster, Recker, Milat, Camilleri, Long, Romero*, Ershad, 400, Robertson, Ricksen)

Vs spade  (Vining*, Bass, Clegg, De Roo, King, Lorenzen, Milat, LoyA, Roster, Simoni, Nugroho)

As of Oct 12 --- 11 down, 8 to go.
Interestingly: 5 names each for Spade and Bou

As of 5 Jan 2020, what with the unexpected (?) passing of Tom Long, we once again have a draw.  15 down 4 to go.
2 names each for Spade and Bou

*As mentioned by DI, Archbishop Alamino died on July 26, meaning Spade actually had a HIT during match play.   How we all missed it I dunno.

I have no idea what's up with the spacing on that post above.  'Quote section' must have a glitch.  Looked ok when I posted but like hell now.

Bou 11-19 Spade

Ah, but as you can see, Ortega was a hit for Spade while the cup was running
