The whole Jack bit was a bit pointless. It was just to keep the companions occupied and put in some teasers for the rest of the series. Not a massive fan of Jack.

It will be interesting to see if all the discussion and interest actually improves the overnight viewing figures next week  or raises the catch up figures for this week.

Yeah it was amazing and we finally saw what I wanted to see in Jodie's Doctor - a speech that was worthy of defining her era.

Can't seem to get into it since the doc "turned" into a woman.

Sunday's ep was the best in a long time, finale should be good.

Chibbers would like to bring back old companions like Ace and Amy Pond.

Respect for the show's history, or an apology for the forthcoming destruction of accepted canon?

I've got a feeling the whole show is about to get some kind of off the deep end reboot in these final two episodes which makes those returns look less appealing.

In other news I'd forgotten just how good Series 1 was....

Amy had a good exit and unless you want to fuck with time and mess with what Moffat did with The Angels then leave her alone. Maybe bring her father or grandson in like what was seen in the deleted scene.

Unless it was for a special/flashback I don't think Karen Gillan would come back soon, she's got a career in Hollywood.

Decent episode tonight?

But what the hell is 'the truth?'

That was a bit disappointing.

Like the first episode of Spyfall all it was was a series of dramatic scenes strung together to provide for the dramatic reveal at the end.

The lack of overall narrative is a real weakness of Chibnell's writing.

Next weeks could be interesting though, as he has to start tying all this bollocks together?

Is Brendan The Master?

Right, watched it now.

Nobody should spend around an hour watching the middle and the beginning of a story.  Excite us with some brilliant amazement from a character that gives us a moment of deduction, right or wrong. Literally nothing in that gave us anything, ee bah gum fam. I was hoping for Mondasian Cybermen at least, maybe I missed that.

Left the viewer out of any engagement or participation. It's all being written for a bunch of Who bananas, one handed wankfest.

I've watched this show forever and come to everything new everytime, willing it to surprise, excite, fear, make me laugh and cry. Now I'm expected to hold my feelings and astonishment for fucking weeks without a bone being thrown to my speculation, then hope I can backwards work it, assuming I can understand what ilkley moor bar tat shite comes forth.

I watched Midnight again today, and couldn't finish it, everything was magical and frightening. Today I'm between chapters in a poor penny dreadful. Gawd help the kids today who have no stories, only massive arcs or 5 minute resolutions in a 45 minute soap opera.

I'll maybe watch it when I get in from work tonight.  It'll be the 2nd episode of this series I watch.

I am currently at Heathrow Airport. I will probably not get to this episode until March 12. If there are any shocks they are not going to be shocks to me are they....

Jodie is still signed on for next series so it won't be her. There is still an option for The Master, Ruth or whoever this timeless child is to regenerate.
