ABC Deadpool III

Apologies on the recent delay, but SirC was on holiday for a week.

So let's get caught up.  About 2/3 of the teams scored a hit with Fernando Ricksen, and depending if you used him for an F or an R, you received 3 or 4 points, respectively.  Jose Jose was also on a few teams, and the alliteration gave his owners 5 points total.
We also had two solo hits: Kornel Moraweicki (JiroemonKimura) and Jimmy Spicer (Sir Creep) - both good for 7 big points.  SirC also has a potential solo hit with Bat McGrath, but that iffy obit awaits.  It's also being reported by Y-Dub that Anna Quayle has passed and her owners will be happy for the Q obit should it arrive.  So probably another update on the morrow.

Of all the obscure people that score obits these days, I can't believe jockey hall of famer Randy Romero has yet to get one.  I do note that you missed my hit of Chris Duncan, though, so on your next update if you would credit me 4 there I would feel a bit better about my poor start out of the gates . . . . . .

Rather interestingly, Anna Quayle (7 points) appeared on two of the first three teams entered, but on no other teams thereafter.  This is good news for YoungWillz and Sir Creep, who got a Duo bonus on top of the Q surname hit.  After a slow start, Sir Creep finds himself near the top, and Y-Dub gets his first points in quick fashion.

I've also added 4 points to Wormfarmer for Chris Duncan.  I only mention this so that I may ask all of you to let me know if I have missed a name (as in this case) or if your scoring is incorrect.  I'm happy to fix it.

Second Edit  I got The Guardian and I claim my points

An A for Affort, as three teams got a hit with Alicia Alonso, the 98-year old dancer.  Increased points for vowel initials, so 5 total.
Bibliogryphon finally gets into the game, leaving Yvonne as our last holdout (we are rooting for her!).  GUB and Wormy also score.

Let's keep this in one post if possible.  Congrats to last year's champ RadGuy with a solo hit with his 97-year old letter M entry: Bill Macy!

I guess none of us experts saw that coming :nerd:  RadGuy moves into a tie for 5th and well within striking distance of defending his title.

Not without a link to a QO you aren't.  Google isn't being our friend at the moment.  Should be one would think.... world's oldest man and all.

I think Rad had Vervoort too.

Too many names for a single update.

After months and years of anticipation, only two people were still on board with Marieke Vervoort!  Oh the abandonment!  You are all so fickle!
A good weekend for RadGuy, and Book also nails down a letter V hit, good for 5 points with the Duo bonus.
Don't look now...last year's champ is on the doorstep.

Um, I'm pretty sure Tanaka is still alive as of now. We would've known if she has died at this point...

No one cares when it's a man, but world's oldest woman and there are a zillion headlines.
World is so sexist :(

(Edit: Even this article says 'GERMANY"S oldest man' .. NO CUNTO'S he's the WORLD'S oldest man, he's a piece of all of us.  It's not a local story ffs it's worldly.  No wonder no one is picking up on this lol)

Ironically his 114th birthday  story is on the BBC news website ('Newsround' section) where he is described as the world's oldest man...

it’s not ironic, it was that story why I said a cinch, but looking back not a single one of the past few world’s oldest man obits have been published by the BBC.  So unless DM ir Sun pick it up it ain’t happening.

The glee across the ABC deadpool when Ivan Milat's death was announced stretched far and wide.
A solid 11 teams got a hit: 10 for the I initial and a vowel hit (4 points total), and only Joey Russ using the killer for his M surname, still good for 3 points.
Teams in positions 7th-11th all got a hit, and the entire block surged up the leaderboard 2 positions.  However they gained no ground on Banana, who maintains the top spot, expanding his lead by 2 points on the field in fact.

Hmmm

I just happened upon Roger ZION's obit.  Died Sept 24.

There goes a letter Z name.  Fer christ sake.  That's my FOURTH goddamn 'no obit'.  I should be walking away with this thing lol.
Sorry @Wormfarmer looks like you taking one for Team Zion as well.

Holly Clegg dead.
Three teams, including myself, await a likely elusive obit.  That would be my 5th NO (No Obit) already lol.
