Tim Curry

Recommended Posts

He had a stroke back in July 2012, & it clearly has taken a serious toll on him. He has looked really frail in recent appearences.

Oh, that is a good one for a thread of its own!!! :D

I am googling people with the surname 'Sausageeggandchips' as as starter.

Not the main course, obviously.:)

Meatloaf, Jasper Carrott, OJ Simpson (to extend to food and drink) - all of which would deserve to be on any list.....

Just for fun and no need to be on any list other than food names - Alison Brie, Sean Bean, Condoleezza Rice

My favourite name Danbert Nobacon of Chubawamba. Famously chucked a ice bucket of water over John Prescott,at the BRITS in 1998.

Reminds me of a joke* which, iirc, was told by a Liverpool fan prior to the 1974 FA Cup final between Liverpool & Newcastle United -

Which three footballers have got the same name as food

Tony Currie, Pat Rice and Malcolm MacDonald**, 'cos he's a puddin'.

*I never said it was funny.

**At the time, a Newcastle United player

And talking of footballers, QPR had a P Nutt on their books years back.

This is a very obscure one, but perhaps U.S. sports fans will know this name:  former MLB player and coach Bobby Wine!  (As an all-field and no-hit SS, he won a Gold Glove in 1963, but his .215 career average is fourth-worst all-time for players with 2,500 or more AB's.)  He'll turn 81 on Sept. 17.  If he were to die, I'm guessing that the local media in Philadelphia and Atlanta would cover it, at the very least.

Where did you see that, just curious?  I was watching him as a possible pick for this year, but are you saying he's, like, as good of a pick as Kathleen Blanco would've been this year or perhaps someone like Harry Reid if he makes it to 2020?

Might be a little late where Chuck Berry is concerned!

The terminally mediocre and inescapably British Mike Berry promises future gigs on his website: http://www.mikeberry.net/

If you're going to have Bobby Wine, you need to have Cookie Rojas
