Sad this. Most familiar with his SNL work - his Burt Reynolds/The Bandit impression was eerily spot on. Well done to those on here who spotted the signs.

Too young and it’s sad he’s gone, but I didn’t find his stand up particularly funny.  His work (meaning his delivery of other writers’ work) on SNL was brilliant though.

I, too, didn't love all of his standup work.  But he was one of the better talk show guests you could ever want to watch, just naturally funny in that setting.  Other comics revered him as one of the true greats, and he was certainly unique.
