Rex Martey (82 year old Londoner battling prostate cancer) - and the BBC just reported on him signing his first record deal. Unlikely to be a five album deal with options to extend, then!

The album London's Rex Martey - Life Of The Party has it's release date pushed up.

Other than advanced age, I can't find any update on any health issues

I reckon Des O'Connor will go this year.

The last time I saw him on TV he looked very weak, his voice lacking any strength.

He didn't look like he had the energy to pull his underpants on.

Mark my words!

Watching the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame announcement special and couldn't help notice sportswriter Peter Gammons was sounding quite hoarse.  He's only 74.  It could just be a head cold or maybe something more?

There was someone complaining about no Indians in the deathlist. So here is someone to put:

  • Fauja Singh - 108 years old and oldest marathon runner in the world. Retired from marathon running in 2013.

I don't think he will die in next 10 years. He is that much fit.

Probably not given he has blatantly lied about his age.

Singh is probably 10-15 years younger according to some Gerontology guys. Plus his biography is widely inconsistent.

I've been looking up old Blue Peter presenters still alive. Might want to keep an eye out on the following:

  • Leila Williams - 83
  • Anita West - 85
  • Valerie Singleton - 82
  • Peter Purves - 80

Rufina Ivanovna Pukhova. Aka the fourth Mrs Kim Philby. She is around 87 years of age now and would be bound to get obits all over the shop. Probably also lead to everyone digging out anything they can about the Cambridge spy ring.

Sumner Redstone would also be a handsome choice.

UK oldsters may remember a name from the past, Mavis Nicholson.

She was pretty well known back in the late 70s/80s as an interviewer of the stars and, IIRC, she had her own TV show.

Well she is still going and is 89.

One to watch.

It's not certain he'll even make it to 2021, but if he does, Hawaiian musician Willie K will be one to watch. He has stated that his lung cancer is now terminal,  but he's going to keep "rocking on". With his ukulele.
