John Lewis

Recommended Posts

One of the most famous and popular congressman, John Lewis, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He is also a civil rights icon in America.

I believe he is deserving to be on the list next year.

Hmm, let me see. UK based deathlist picks John Lewis.

90 percent of the UK goes "Daft idiots, picking a department store to die!"

Sadly, it's a fact....he isn't deathlisty for UK-ers. I appreciate the US side of the argument, take it to a US deathlist. (Whaur's my Union Flag to wave?)

I'd be surprised if Lewis made the DL itself, but as one of the 1960s civil rights leaders and a fairly notable US politician he's perfect DDP team fodder.

A fairly confident dead cert, but there's no way he's D40 at this point and that leaves him at a likely 6 pts as he turns 80 in February. Idk personally I feel there's better names.

And that is why I should have waited until New Year's Eve to submit my DDP entry.

He is famous enough for the Deathlist. His death will make the main news bulletins.

The committee have chosen quite a few US Politicians over the years so I reckon Lewis will get picked.

The committee will have a field day with potential puns for Lewis.

Good news is that he was able to make a list minute comeback for the crowdsource list...

I think it’s too early.  He’s on my list, mind.  But no reason he can’t see 2020 out.  He’s only 79.

I hope you make it to the 29th of December so I can pick you for my DDP team (I've sent in my team way before he was diagnosed, I've also missed my oportunity to pick Chris Doleman, I've picked both in Cup and DSCDP.)

Already starting to look thinner at his Capitol Hill birthday party.

John Lewis on the George Floyd protests:

Firm voice, but no pictures. With him, and Harry Reid (and RBG), I wonder if they just want to hold on long enough to see Trump getting defeated.
