Was committed to dropping him until I saw some glum Instagram posts of his late last year. RIP to a good man.

I don't really have the interest or motivation to win again but so long as he QOs I think Shurer will be key to making my performance this year respectable.

“Lovely Frank Bielec passed away today from complications following a heart attack,” Trading Spaces' Vern Yip wrote in a tribute on Friday

Trading Spaces designer Frank Bielec has died. He was 72.

Bielec, who appeared on the beloved home decorating series since it premiered back in 2000, died in a Houston hospital on Friday after suffering a heart attack the previous day, his wife Judy told TMZ.

Not often the cross stitch community gets an obit, isn’t that right @Boudicca?

Cross stitch and needlepoint people know Bielec more as the designer of the Mosey n Me patterns.

Looks like a fentanyl overdose was the cause of death. Poor kid.

Of interest to basically two people, Death Impends and me:

Thai political prisoner Da Torpedo died two weeks ago:

There was a brief period where I considered her for competitive deadpools, but the time period in which she was more newsworthy (ie still in prison) was so long ago that she was relegated to the Sun Wukong dumping grounds. Wisely, it seems.

Rennie Williams, a school teacher credited with saving the lives of dozens of kids during the Aberfan disaster, has died aged 86 of cancer. In 1966 she had managed to get several injured children free from the building.

People like her should get more of an obit than actors or other celebrities ! Sadly I doubt she'll  hardly get a mention on tv or radio.

Well I *did* search, you know. Although there was also another teacher at Aberfan called Hettie Williams who also died recently?

Oh, sad. Yé Ké Yé Ké is my favourite song from 1988 after

Im Nin' Alu

Tell it to my heart

I should be so lucky

Ella elle l'a

Heart

The Loco-Motion

One moment in time

Got to be certain

Beds are burning

Orinoco Flow

Girl you know it's true

Halt mich

Fast Car

House Arrest

Perfect

Heaven is a place on earth

Stop

Especially for you

Find my love

Teardrops

Sign your name

Etienne

Need you tonight

Push it

and the whole Dirty Dancing Soundtrack

Story of a missed opportunity here.

Finally got round to watching the Billy Bragg doc on Rock Island Line from 2017. Hylda Sims, skiffle musician from the 50s, shows up looking old and rough. "I should go put her on my shortlist" I think, looking up her age on Google to find... she died in January!

OOohhh, nice Guardian obit there.

So, they'll pour love on the generation of bohemian folkies - like Wizz Jones - then.
