Another interesting name I've stumbled upon: George Ali Murad Khan, last Mir of Khairpur 1947-1954. When he was 9 months old he was accidentally shot by his father (who was later declared mentally unfit), the bullet passed through his right lung and stomach, but he survived.

The Friday Times article from 1947 here with a picture taken by Margaret Bourke-White (1904-1971).

Recent picture:

There's a few similar ancients still alive, for example Mukarram Jah and Gaj Singh.

I imagine your suspicions are correct and he isn't. Like Sudhakar Chaturvedi, he has years worth of details from his biography conveniently missing.

Conveniently never got elected to the Lok Sabha either, so no record made of an official birth.

I can believe he's 87 in December at a push. There's no way he's turning 97.

Must've taken some life advice from Fraudster Singh over the phone. "Just add 15 years on to your claimed age. That way when you're 100 and they think you're 115, they'll consider you a deity and give you loads of attention".
