I am not endangering myself for going out for a bloody meal.

1) I had COVID-19 in March, as I mentioned on here at the time. I've since had a private anti-body test and it came back positive as expected.
2) Even if I hadn't already contracted it earlier in the year, I'm perfectly healthy, not in an at-risk category and there is no reason for me to shield. For the vast majority of younger healthy people who get the disease, it's no worse than a seasonal flu.

If you choose to live your life in an isolated bubble of paranoia and have fallen victim to the mass media scaremongering, then you're the fool. The economy has to keep running so people like myself can pay for your state handouts.

1) There's absolutely no evidence that having had Covid provides long-lasting immunity to the disease, even with a positive antibody test. You're still putting yourself at risk. You could also still be carrying Covid and passing it on to other people without getting re-infection symptoms.

2) I don't take a fucking penny off the state. Not a single penny. No benefits, not even furlough. Unlike many on this forum (assumedly you if you've been on furlough) I've been able to adapt and deal with this pandemic off my own back rather than creaming off the fucking government and still claiming to be helping to pay the tax bill because you get a payslip for being unemployed rather than a giro. I'm able to keep the economy running from home, in a rather more constructive manner than a few pints and steak at Wetherspoons is going to manage, cheers.

Chris Hill.

Better known as Christopher Roy Hill, he used to be a Director of Dizzy Heights Music Publishing Limited. So his details are here, born January 1945: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/01300811/officers

Essentially the first Santa number is simply a cut-up for the most part of other artists. (Don't go there!)

Interestingly one of his former co-Directors Nigel Grainge produced those Santa choons. Old Nige died in 2017.

Highly Likely.

Hmm, you are right we are looking for more though Tony Rivers (Harmony Grass) Hugg and Tom McGuiness definitely on there according to the Hugg interview: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p01gyp45

But they may have just been sessions essentially. Wonder if they still get royalties? Would be an interesting road to go down - information might not be public.

Anyway, best I can do.

Hi-Tension - practically unsearchable, I remember when Paul Phillips' brother died and I posted it up on the Forum, I had a delve. My deeper delve is turning up as much as the intial one did - nothing on the missing ones, I'm afraid.

Thanks. Added those three to Highly Likely. Yeah they were probably all just session musicians anyway. It looks like Hugg, McGuinness and Rivers were the primary ones though. I might have a digger deep Sunday when I’m back at my desk.

Hi-Tension. Yes I agree. About 1/3 of the lineup above are not traceable e.g the early saxophonist Sydor. However, from looking at their Twitter/FB pages they have a good habit of alerting fans when an associated member of the group or a relative of a member dies. So there’s a possibility they’re all still about and we’ll hear when the first passes.

NB2: Not sure who to list as members here. The three songwriters – Stefan Klinkhammer, Peny Duc (aka Lana Sebastian) and her brother May Ambruster (aka Paul Sebastian) are listed as members on Discogs. However, it doesn't appear that Ambruster recorded on the above single. A list of session musicians are given on the Discogs page for the corresponding album but its unclear which ones were on the single, or if they were actual members.

I'm pretty sure Ray Othen died 3rd April 2016. Cross-referencing the Top of the Pops Facts Twitter account using the same photo as this Facebook page and the mentions of him working for the Royal Mail.  That guy was also Facebook friends with a Bob White from Southampton who looks like it was his old bandmate.

Not a lot out there, however here is a clipping from July 1970 regarding an early incarnation of Wild Country giving Danny Balkwill's age as 20 and an address in Christchurch: wild%20country%202.jpg

Now if you look at the donations on the JustGiving page you quote, Danny's mother makes a donation and her name is Eileen. That might help in tracing him. As for the others....nada.

Cheers. No need to go through the parent route. Found him in the GRO okay. Born in Christchurch as Daniel G Balkwill, 1949. Also just found Malcolm "Mal" Player in there in 1952.

John Jones is on FB. Now goes under Joe Jones and plays with the QED rock band. Says he's from Leicester originally on his profile, now lives in Yetminster. Born 14th April. Can't find him in GRO or Ancestry to get the year.

Anyway, pretty happy with that haul of info. Moving on...

Most wallys on Youtube doing covers of songs are terrible, but this guy nails a heavy metal version of Popcorn - a joy when it fully kicks in. Immense fretwanking.

Love this. It's a very iconic tune and I'm somewhat surprised it hasn't been resurrected in the charts by an act in recent times.

When I was digging out the song for the section above, I learnt that there was a dance which accompanied it upon its original release.

A dance so awful that anyone would be forgiven for thinking that Stevie Wonder choreographed it.

Billy Howard is on Facebook and recently updated his profile pic to include a "stay at home" graphic, so I assume he's alive. His daughter is Annabel Williams, the vocal coach who usually takes care of Cowell's hand-picked choices on X-Factor/Britain's Got Talent/etc.

Account is private sadly so can't see any bio details. I found his marriage certificate from the info about his wife on his own website and that's what got me his real name. I imagine he was born early 50s.

The Imperials.

Did you see this @Ulitzer95? http://www.algomes.com/imperials/haroldbio.html Harold Jenkins might be traceable from the information there. I've tried looking up former bands but turned up nothing.

I did, and sadly I can't find anyone under the name of Harold Jenkins born in North Fork, Virginia. Hundreds of them in wider Virginia and New York so it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
